Evaluation Criteria

EYE will evaluate the projects together with BCC based on the following criteria:

Impact and sustainability:
§  Can the solution potentially be replicated elsewhere in similar or other contexts?
§  Is the idea potentially interesting for others to copy?
§  Can a larger number of businesses benefit from using the proposed approach?
§  Does it offer systemic change?
§  Does the impact of the project have potential to continue after the initial implementation period?
Innovation:
§  Compared with what is being done currently in the country and specifically in the targeted intervention, is the idea new and different?
§  Is the proposed project idea innovative/unique and does it has realistic chances to become self-sustained in the market?
§  Does the idea bring together partners that do not typically work together in this area?
§  Is it targeting a new sector, not typically covered by such an intervention?
§  Does it have other innovative features?
Budget and cost-effectiveness:
§  Is the ratio between the estimated costs and the expected results satisfactory?
§  Is the proposed expenditure necessary for the implementation of the action?
Management – Applicant technical ability:
§  Do the organizations involved have the capacity to implement the project?
§  What are the risks associated with the project and how will the applicant take them into consideration in managing the risks;
§  Does the applicant have the capacity to implement, manage, and understand the project he/she proposes?
Potential for implementation:
§  Does the proposed plan lead to anticipated results?
§  Are the timeframes and resources reasonable?

EYE and BCC reserves the right not to provide any support if evaluation shows that the project do not meet the criteria and do not contribute to achieve project results.
