Task 1: Advertisement

Due to the upcoming Winter Sale in January your manager has decided to market IC Company products to foreign tourists. Therefore, he asked you to work out an advertisement to be used in the magazine from Copenhagen Tourist Information.It is your choice which of IC Companys’ 9 brands you would like to use in the advertisement.

At the exam:

Work out the advertisement to be used in the magazine from Copenhagen Tourist Information. It should include at least 4special offersof your own choice.

Present your advertisement for IC Companys’ products.

Your presentation should include the products, prices, target group, and reasons for choosing the products.

 Explain your choice of colours and graphic elements as well.

Explain how you have used the AIDA model. (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action).

IC Companys is already planning the summer collection 2014. The company is looking for best products at the lowest prices and would like to bring in a new supplier of finest textiles.Therefore, you are asked to write an enquiry to a manufacturer of fabrics in Hyderabad, India.

Write the enquiry. The letter should beabout one A4 page in length. Use today’s date and sign with your own name.

In your enquiry you start by introducing IC Companys. Ask for different colours and qualities.Ask forprices.Please also ask for a discount on large quantities,time of delivery, and terms of payment. Find a suitable way of ending your inquiry.

Tell how the letter is structured and explain level of formality, layout, and language.

Give examples of formal and informal communication.

A group of new store managers from England will be visitingIC Companys in Copenhagen, and they are very interested in learning more about IC Companys.

Soon you will have finished your education at IC Companys, and your biggest wish now is to go to London and try your luck over there.

Tiger of Sweden has opened a new flagship store in London, Englandlocated at Piccadilly Circus and offers womenswear, menswear and the Tiger of Sweden jeans collection. The store concept is based on four themes: individualism, Scandinavian tailoring, premium fashion, and urban living.

You would really like to work abroad, and therefore you apply for the following position by writing an application and your CV in English.

Task5: London

Some of the staff from IC Companys head office in Copenhagen is visiting London in connection with the new flagship store. Your first job at Tiger of Sweden in London is to prepare this visit in London.

Make a schedule for a one-day sightseeing tour in London for the guests. The tour should include at least four sights and some places to eat.

At the exam you present the tour telling about the sights and the reasons for your choice of sights.

Task 6: Individual project

Your new colleagues at Tiger of Sweden are very interested in hearing about your individual project which you have worked with in your English lessons at Learnmark Horsens.

Make a presentation of your individual project.
