Green Business Program: Melissa/Amy

D64 Green Team has started. Email from Luann Kolstad:

Hi Amy,

Thank you. I am glad the proposal passed for the students of this district. We will be working with the vendor Quest, to develop the sustainability practices for the hot lunch program. One of the reasons this vendor was picked was because of their practices. I received his bid with each proposal wrapped in brown paper and in a re-useable bag. No big folders etc.

Amy, this whole process especially involving it in education of students will "take a village", first, lets get the program up and running. We have a massive amount of work to get done to just open the kitchens on the first day of school. This fall we can set up a meeting with Quest, you, Mary, Laurie, Ron and I to review our options and any costs associated with it. We are remodeling the kitchens and putting in LED lighting!!

Change Maker: Need a bunch! Consider nagging: NLC resident, Scott (Ribbons for Kate), Foresters (asked Marureen Hartwig/political sign collection and Roosevelt Garden, annie jerome)
