The Swedish Agency for Public Management (
The Swedish Agency for Public Management provides support to the Government and Government Offices. The task is to conduct studies and evaluations at the request of the government and also to modernise public administration with the use of IT.
The Swedish National Financial Management Authority (
The Swedish National Financial Management Authority is the Government agency for financial management in Sweden. Its objective, as defined by the Government, is high quality financial management within the central Government sector.

The Swedish institute for Quality (SIQ )is responsible for the Swedish quality award. The award is open for both private and public sector. There have been some award recipients from the public sector, a hospital unit in 1996 and a primary school in 2001.
There is no special quality award for the Central-Government administration. The National Council for Quality and Development investigated the feasibility to ground an special award for the sector in 2000. The investigation
recommended the Government not to ground a special award designated to the central Government administration. The basic motivation was that the Swedish Quality Award was feasible enough as it is open for all sectors.
The Swedish National Road Administration, a central government agency, is since the year of 2000 running an internal award scheme.
From 1 January 2005, The Swedish Association of Local Authorities (SALA) and the Federation of Swedish County Councils (FCC) have formed a new headquarter with joint administrative units - The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions(SALAR) . In 2007 the two organisations (SALA and FCC) will merge and form a new, joint federation
The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions(SALAR) former the Swedish Federation of County Councils is since 1996 running an annual award scheme for the medical and health care sector based on the QUL-model, the QUL model is an adaptation from the SIQ-model.

There are also separate regional, sectorwise or internal awards, approximatly 20-25 spread all over Sweden. All of them based on the SIQ-model. Approximatly half of the applicants and half of the award recipients are from the public sector.

The SOM Institute Is a research and conference center studying Society, Opinion and Media (S.O.M.) at GöteborgUniversity. Every year since 1986, the SOM Institute carries out a nationwide survey, Riks-SOM (National SOM), in which people are asked questions about politics, society, their use of media, public service, the environment, risks, new media technology and their leisure-time activities.
Swedish Customer Satisfaction Index (SCSI) Managed by the Stockholm School of Economics, the Swedish Quality Institute (SIQ), Statistics Sweden and the Institute of Service Research at the University of Karlstad. Started in 1989.
