Notorious snatcher-cum-robber arrested
Six snatched mobile phones and motorcycle used in crime recovered.
7 cases of snatchings solved.
A joint police team ofSTF and PS Fatehpur Beri, South Districthas arrested notorious snatcher-cum-robber namelySandeep Singh @ Cheema, aged 19 years s/o late Balvinder Singh r/o H. No. A-58, Harswaroop Colony, Fatehpur Beri, New Delhi. With his arrest, 6 snatched mobile phones and motor cycle used in commission of crime was recovered and 7 cases of snatching have been worked out.
Brief facts:
A team of Special Task Force (STF), South District was formed to develop information about the snatchers active in the area, as per the description informed by the victims. The team developed intelligence regarding involvement of one Sandeep Singh @ Cheema r/o Fatehpur Beri in many incidents of cell phone snatching. The hard work done by the team also revealed that accused Sandeep Singh is active in the area of Fatehpur Beri and Mehrauli and his activities were also caught in CCTV footage, while he along with his associate was observed escaping after snatching a mobile phone. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 183/14 dated 29.03.14 U/s 356/379/34 IPC was registered at PS Fateh Pur Beri and investigation was taken up.
Investigation:
In order to arrest accused Sandeep Singh, a joint police team of STF and PS Fatehpur Beri, South District consisting of SI Vikas, ASI Tara Chand, HCs Ajit, Vinod, Umesh and Ct. Satish of STF/SD and HCs Ramesh Singh and Yudhvir Singh of PS Fatehpur Beri was formed under the supervision of Inspr. Rajender Singh, I/C STF, South District. On 11/06/14, the team, on a specific input laid a trap in Harswaroop Colony and nabbed accused Sandeep Singh Cheema @ Cheema while he was roaming around on motor cycle to commit snatching. At his instance, 6 mobile phones and the motorcycle used in crime was recovered.
Interrogation:
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Sandeep Singh Cheema is a school dropout and is unemployed. In recent past, he had indulged in a scuffle with a person whose mobile phone was snatched away by him. He sold that cell phone for Rs. 500/- which further boosted his morale and he started committing mobile and purse snatchings on regular basis. After that he started luring juveniles of the area. For committing snatching, he used to borrow bike or scooty from his friends and relations on the pretext of some bonafide work. He is so daring that he would commit snatchings single handedly while riding motorcycle. He used to dispose of snatched mobile phones to strangers so that he would remain unidentified. He spends major share of his ill earnings on enjoying with his girlfriends. Further investigation is on to arrest co-accused and more cases are likely to be worked out at the pointing out of accused.

PROCLAIMED OFFENDER ARRESTED
The staff of PS Mayapuri, West District has arrested a Proclaimed Offender namely Mohd. Shafiq who was declared Proclaimed Offender in case FIR No. 39/06 u/s 324/341/34 IPC, PS Sarita Vihar, New Delhi.
NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED
- Mohd. Shafiq s/o Mohd. Umar r/o A-1, Shahin Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Delhi age about 54 years, profession :-Junk Dealer.
INCIDENT
Accused Mohd. Shafiq along with his associates has attacked Ms Sahin in the area of PS Sarita Vihar in 2006 and caused injury to her. In this regard, a Case FIR No. 39/06 u/s 324/341/34 IPC, PS Sarita Vihar, New Delhi was registered and accused were arrested. Charge Sheet was filed in the Court but accused was causing hindrance in the proceeding by evading his appearance in the Hon’ble Court on date of hearings. Hence he was declared Proclaimed Offender on 26-03-2014 by the Hon,ble court of Sh. Arvind Bansal Ld. M.M. Saket Court , New Delhi
TEAM & ARREST
Keeping in view the above circumstances a team comprising HC Vikrant Singh No.347/W, HC Ashok, No.344/W and Ct. Mohkam No. 3113/W headed by Inspr. K P. Singh, ATO/ Maya Puri under the supervision of Sh. Samay Singh ACP/Tilak Nagar were constituted to apprehend the proclaimed offender.
On 12.06.2014, a secret information was received by HC Vikrant Singh, No. 347/W that accused Md. Safiq (Proclaimed Offender) will come at Thokar No.7 Shahin Bagh, Delhi. On this information, the team was sent at thokar No.7 Shine Bagh, Delhi. Team laid a trap and accused was arrested at the instance of the informer. On sustained interrogation, accused Mohd. Shafiq disclosed that he did not want to face the trial of the case. So he changed his address and living there with his family at the new address.
The staff involved in the arrest of PO is being suitably rewarded.

16 CARTONS OF ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED
A joint team of staff of Police Station Mundka, West District and Delhi Excise Department has intercepted an Accent Car No. DL 3CQ 5427 and recovered 768 quarters of illicit liquor near BP Petrol Pump Rohtak Road, Mundka.

- 768 quarters (Impact Grain Whisky 180 ml each (for sale in Haryana Only).
- Accent Car No.DL3CQ 5427.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
On 12/06/14 on the basis of a secret information regarding smuggling of liquor from Haryana, a joint team of Department of Excise Delhi Government and Staff of PS Mundka comprising of HC Virender, HC Rajender No 1253/West, Ct Pramod Kumar & Ct Santram No 895/West laid a trap near Ghewra More at about 12.40 night. The team noticed an accent car white No.DL 3CQ 5427 coming from Bahadurgarh side. The team signalled the driver of the car to stop but he instead of stopping the car sped towards Mundka. The vigilant staff chased the car and forced it to stop near BP Patrol Pump Rohtak Road Mundka. However, the driver of the car escaped leaving the car on the road. On further checking the car, the team recovered 16 Cartons of liquor from the dickey of the car. The cartons contained 768 quarters of Impact Grain Whisky 180 ml each (for sale in Haryana Only).
A case FIR No.282/14 dated 12/06.2014 u/s 33/38 Delhi Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Mundka and effort are being made to apprehend the car driver.

ONE NOTORIOUS SNATCHER ARRESTED
The Staff of Police Station Nangloi West District has done a good work by arresting one notorious snatcher namely Rajesh in case FIR No. 403/14 U/S 356/411 IPC, P.S. Nangloi and recovered one Snatched Mobile phone from his possession.
NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:-.
(1)Rajesh S/O Mewa Ram R/O X-470, Camp No 1, Nangloi, Delhi, aged 30 years.

One Samsung Dous, Galaxy Mega, white Colour Mobile Phone.

1)FIR 11/12 dated 11-01-2012 U/S 399/402 IPS, P.S. MianWali Nagar.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION:-
On 12-06-2014 SI Mohit Parkash D-5174, Ct Attam Dev No.898/W and Ct Daya Ram No.1782/w of Police Station Nangloi were on patrolling duty in the area of beat No.1. When they reached near Y, block, Camp No.1 Nangloi, they heard a noise that “PAKRO PAKRO CHOR CHOR” and noticed one person running towards them. Immediately, on suspicion Ct Attam Dev No. 898/W apprehended him who was identified as Rajesh. In the mean time one girl came there who stated that when she was going to the residence of her brother in law (JIJA) at Bhooto Wali Nangloi, Delhi, one person (accused) came and snatched her Samsung Dous, Galaxy Mega, white Colour Mobile Phone and fled away from the spot. Thereafter, the personal search was conducted by SI Mohit Parkash and snatched mobile was recovered from the possession of accused Rajesh. He has been arrested vide case FIR No 403/ 14 U/S 356/379/411 IPC P.S. Nangloi, Delhi.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation he disclosed that he has committed snatching of mobile phones in different parts of Delhi. Efforts are on to recover more mobile phones.

Dreaded Gangster Ashim @ Hashim @ Bawa @ Faqira has been arrested.
Reward of Rs. One Lac had been declared on his arrest.
Wanted in Four case of Murder and Attempt to Murder of Delhi.
Inter Gang rivalry in North-East Delhi.
A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Kulbir Singh and consisting of SI Vishal, SI Ritesh, ASI Kuldeep, ASI Manoj, HC Dinesh, HC Satish, Const. Ravi, Const. Vivek, Const. Rahul, Const. Lala Ram, Const. Anil, Const. Devinder, Const. Satender, Ctonst. Amit under the supervision of ACP K.P.S. Malhotra and overall supervision of DCP/Crime Bhisham Singh have apprehended a notorious and desperate gangster of Delhi, Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba @ Faqira. He is wanted in 4 cases of Murder and Attempt to murder of PS Zaffrabad, North-East Delhi. He has been evading the police dragnet since last four years.
Information was received that Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba has been continuously shifting his base. Specific information was received that he has recently shifted his base to Uttrakhand. Hard work and perseverance by the Crime Branch team resulted in the identification of his hide out in Ram Nagar, Uttrakhand. Surveillance was mounted at Ram Nagar and on 12/06/2014, Ashim @ Hashim was sighted. He was apprehended by the Crime Branch team and arrested under the appropriate sections of law.
Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba (aged 28 years) s/o Rais Ahmed r/o Zaffrabad, Delhi was subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that from a small time vendor of belts and shoes he become a ganglord in the area of North-East Delhi. He came in contact with other criminals of North-East Delhi and in 2007 forayed into the world of crime. He formed his own gang and his initial entry into the crime was to enter gambling network of North-East Delhi.
In 2007, the gambling network was under the control of Meharban of Braham Puri. In order to enter the network, they targeted Kallu one of his associates. Kallu was shot at by them in the area of Braham Puri, Delhi but he survived. The gang entered the gambling network of North-East Delhi.
In 2008, the gang led by Ashim @ Hashim aligned with another gangster, Pawan of Mustafabad to eliminate Qasim of Mustafabad. Accordingly, they shot at Qasim in the area of PS Gokal Puri, Delhi but he survived.
At that time, there was an old gang led by Aarif of Jaffrabad, Delhi. There began a running feud between this gang and the gang led by Ashim @ Hashim. On 05/08/2010, Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba alongwith his gang members shot at Aarif in the area of PS Jaffrabad. However, Aarif survived the bullet injuries.
In 2011, Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba and his gang came into conflict with another gang led by Aakeel Mama of Seelam Pur, Delhi. Aatif one of the gang members of Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba had eloped with a girl, who was a daughter of a prominent businessman of North-East Delhi. Aakeel Mama because of his association with the businessman, on 16/05/2011 shot dead Aatif in the area of PS Zaffrabad, North-East Delhi.
In retaliation, Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba alongwith his gang members on 08/05/2012 shot dead the businessman in the area of Jaffrabad, North-East Delhi.
In order to avenge the killing of the businessman, on 19/09/2013 Aakeel Mama alongwith his gang member shot dead Tabrej, an associate of Ashim @ Hasim.
In relatiation, on 14/11/2013, Ashim @ Hasim @ Baba alongwith his members shot dead Aakeel Mama in the area of North-East Delhi.
Again on 20/05/2014, Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba alongwith his gang members shot and injured Zahid, brother of Aakeel Mama, who was a eye witness in the murder of Aakeel Mama.
Ashim @ Hashim @ Baba had not been apprehended since, 2010. In order to evade police dragnet, he continuously changed his hideouts. He had his hideouts in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He was like a ghost who came to Delhi, committed crime and then vanished into thin air.

INAUGURATION OF PETROL PUMP AND SUBSIDIARY CENTRAL POLICE CANTEEN AND BY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, DELHI ON 13.6.2014.
Sh. Bhim Sain Bassi, Commissioner of Police, Delhi inaugurated the Petrol Pump and Subsidiary Central Police Canteen on 13.6.2014 at 5.30 P.M. at PTS, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi.
The Petrol Pump at PTS Malviya Nagar has been opened with the logistics and technical support of Indian Oil Corporation and primarily cater to the need of Delhi Police vehicles operating in and around Southern part of Delhi. This is intended to save lot of valuable time and fuel and hence, will enhance police response. At present 8 Petrol Pumps are operative in Delhi Police and this Petrol Pump at PTS Malviya Nagar will be the 9thone in this series.
The SCPC has been opened on the pattern of Para Military and Armed Forces which will provide quality consumer products to Delhi Police personnel and families on cheaper and reasonable prices. At present 3 SCP Canteens are operative in Delhi Police at New Police Lines, PTC Jharoda Kalan and Security Lines at Vinay Marg and this Canteen opened at PTS Malviya Nagar will be the 4thone in this quest.
