Check in time at 7:00 a.m. on all days. Judging begins at 8:00 a.m.

Running order will be Excellent, Std , Excellent JWW Open Std, Open JWW, Novice Std and Novice JWW. Classes will be small to tall all days.

Running orders for the entire trial will be available to download on Friday 12:01 AM at click on upcoming trials tab. Results will be posted daily on the website – click on trial results.

BUILDING WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SET UP on THURSDAY, May 21, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 pm.

X-pens are allowed for two or more large dogs or 3 or more small dogs. Dogs must be under reasonable control if using expen. All expens must have covers on them to control jumping out. Owners of dogs reported lunging at people or dogs, may be asked to crate those dogs by trial chair.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

These trials will be held indoors in two 100’ x 100’ ring with rolled packed dirt floor. There is plenty of close parking, crate space and restrooms. Please bring chairs, crates, and water for your dogs and clean up tools.

 MEASURING 

If your dog does not have a height card, they will need to be measured by the judge. Joan Meyer is a VMO so all dogs will need to be measured for a height card if they don’t have one- even 24” & 26” jumping dogs. If you have a height card, but did not send it in with your entry, you will need to show it to the trial secretary or be measured.

FOOD

There will be a concession stand on site where food will be available for purchase at reasonable prices. In addition, there are fast food restaurants and sit-down restaurants within 5 minutes of the show site.

DIRECTIONS TO SHOW SITE

Douglas County Fairgrounds 1930 Harper Street Lawrence, KS 66046

From North and West. I-70 Toll Road to East Lawrence Interchange Exit 204. Go South on Massachusetts to 19th Street. Turn left on 19th Street. Turn right on Harper Street. Fairgrounds will be on left side.

From East and South. I-35 North to I-435 North Go North on I-435 approx. 1 mile to Hwy 10 West and follow it to Lawrence. Turn right on Harper Street (1st stoplight). Go approx. 2 blocks. Fairgrounds will be on right side.

MAKE RESERVATIONS EARLY. We do not guarantee that dogs are accepted at any of these hotels. Check with Motels/hotels regarding rates and dog policy when making reservations. Some restrictions may apply.

All owners, exhibitors should be aware that the entire motel grounds are considered within the trial grounds. You are responsible for all damage to your room and may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the rules of the AKC. Any abuse of the grounds will be brought to the attention of the trial giving club and it’s Trial Committee. Any exhibitor’s entries may be refused for previous misuse of the motel facilities. This is an AKC supported measure.
