Monday September10, Monday AugustOctober 8, Monday Nov 12, Monday Feb 25. Peter to send out email to existing junior coordinators seeking updated details and to advise of meeting date. Also on website.

Happy with the process as a means to get Junior Coordinator input and produce ideas. DT to follow with Grant Dew re timing of invitations to Forum.

  • Cricket season dates

U13,15,17 season to consist of nine rounds beginning on October 13. Six two day games and three one day games. Beginning back on Jan 26.

  • Rep cricket program

Program to continue in same format. DT to draft a document outlining GJCA rep program structure/guidelines/coaches/selection/dates. Agreed a Barwon Region cap is appropriate for those selected in this game. Trevor to investigate cost of a cap and also a shirt. A contact is required for the organization of the Division 3 and Bellarine teams.

  • Country week

Dates for country week to be Jan 7,8,9, 10 (final). Agreed that with Colac and Bellarine placing their Rep players who nominate for country week in their ‘1’ team that the Division one section for Country week should be the best players as closely as possible. Rep team selections/my cricket to assist. Nomination form to indicate those wishing to play div 1?

Junior Coordinator meeting Sept 10 to include some discussion regarding Age group sections being graded and whether we should have U13 finals.

WernerPeterraised the issue of the balance between the interpretation of the under achiever rule and its impact on players being lost to cricket if not granted underachiever status. Discussion included impact on the integrity of competition/playing numbers. Underachiever numbers reduced from previous seasons. Agreed to treat each application on its merits in line with handbook.
