1. The Event

The event shall be known as The 2012 Queensland Motorkhana Championship Round 2 (Two) and Round 2 (Two) of the 2012 Queensland Motorkhana Series and be an open event.

2. Authority

The event is authorised by CAMS Permit No. 412/0104/04. and shall be conducted under the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Competition Rules of CAMS, the CAMS NationalMotorkhana Codeand the Queensland Appendix, these Supplementary Regulations and any further regulations, addenda and instructions as may be issued subject to NCR 69 and NCR 89.

This Event will be conducted under and in accordance with CAMS OH&S and Risk Management Policies, which can be found on the CAMS website at Insurance for this event will be provided in accordance with Appendix I of the current CAMS Manual.

3. Promoters

5. Entries

Entries for the QMC and QMS open 10/03/2012 and discount entriesclose 5.00pm Friday30/03/2012. Entries will close on01/04/2012.

QMC / QMS Entry is $40.00, with a discount of $5.00 for entries received before the discount entries closing date 30/03/2012 and $25.00 for Juniors with no discount.All money can be paid on the day of the event.

The maximum number of entries will be 70, Entries may be refused in accordance with NCR 83.

Entries in the Qld. Championship shall also be entered in the Qld. Series.

Personal Accident Insurance is included in the entry fee.

All entries must be on the official entry form and if an Annual Entry has been previously submitted an Entry Confirmation must be forwarded and be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee. All cheques, etc. are to be made payable to CCCC (Gladstone) Inc.

CTP Insurance

All competitors of Queensland registered vehicles must present to the secretary of the event a current CTP Insurance extension for the entered vehicle for that day.

6. Licences

All competitors must be a member of a CAMS affiliated club and be in possession of a CAMS L2NS or superior licence. Such licence must be presented to the secretary of the event. All partnerships and registered companies must hold a CAMS Competitors Licence.

7. Draw

Starting order for all Competitors will be determined by ballot to be held at the event on 01/04/2012.

Competitors may be rotated in running order to avoid one person starting each test.

8. Abandonment

The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event if the total number of QMC/QMS competitors is less than twenty-five (25). The event may be altered, postponed, abandoned or cancelled at the sole discretion of the organisers, subject to the provisions of NCR 59.

9. Venue

The event shall be conducted at Gracemere Saleyards ( 5 mins west of Rockhampton ) on 01/04/2012. The type of surface shall be bitumen.

During any event, consumption of alcoholic beverages in the paddock, pits or any other portion of the competition venue under the control of the officials is expressly forbidden until all practice or competition activity is concluded for each day. Any driver or crew member who is found to be affected by alcohol on the day of the event or practice therefore shall not be permitted to participate. Refer NCR 145A of the Current CAMS Manual. In addition, the persons concerned will be subject to the Articles of the Standard Operating Procedure for Alcohol Testing and CAMS Anti-Doping Policy. Competitors, crews or officials may be randomly tested for alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) or other drugs at any time during the event(s).

Extension of scrutineering times will be at the discretion of the Clerk of Course or Chief Scrutineer.

11. Scrutiny

Particular heed will be taken to battery security, roadworthy condition of suspension, roll bars, safety harness and tyres as per NCR s. Approved crash helmets and eye protection (not sunglasses) are required for all non-production or open vehicles. Apparel shall comply with Schedule D of the current CAMS Manual.

Fuel shall be in accordance with Schedule G of the current CAMS Manual. All vehicles must be fitted with an effective exhaust silencer system at all times. The maximum noise emission permissible is 95db(A). Choice of tyres will be free except with reference to the CAMS Motorkhana Code. Attention will be paid to the cleanliness and tidiness of vehicles.

All competitors must present the following documents at Scrutiny: A current competition licence, current CAMS affiliation card and a vehicle log book as applicable and CTP Extension as applicable.

12. Tests

There will be a minimum of Six tests taken from the list below:

13. Classes

There will be Eleven classes as follows:

Class AF=Front Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase up to 2150mm

ClassAR=Rear Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase up to 2150mm

Class BF=Front Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase from 2151 to 2390mm

Class BR=Rear Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase from 2151 to 2390mm

Class CF=Front Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase from 2391 to 2574mm

Class CR=Rear Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase from 2391 to 2574mm

Class DF=Front Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase 2575mm and over

Class DR=Rear Wheel Drive- Production vehicles with a wheelbase 2575mm and over

Class E - Production vehicles with 4 wheel drive

Class F - Front wheel drive specials

Class G - Rear wheel drive specials

Production vehicles fitted with a hand braking system other than:• Standard • Altered ratchet • Changed mechanical advantage • Hydraulic

or any vehicle which in the opinion of CAMS represents an attempt to circumvent or defeat the spirit of the concept of a production vehicle shall be classified as a special.

14. Timing

Electronic timing may be used. Timing shall start at the competitors own time, when the leading point of the vehicle crosses the designated start line and cease when the leading point of the vehicle crosses the designated finish line.

Times for Competitors in the Queensland Motorkhana Series will be adjusted using the following formula when handicap scores are calculated.

15. Penalties

Penalties shall be awarded in accordance with the CAMS National Motorkhana Code, and the Queensland Addendum.

16. Pointscoring

Qld Championship Competitors shall be ranked by outright time overall and in Class.

All competitors in the Queensland Motorkhana Series shall be ranked according to their total handicap scores after all tests have been completed by all competitors. Competitors shall be awarded points according to their ranking which shall count towards their overall total for the Queensland Motorkhana Series. The points shall be awarded in accordance with the method decided on by the Queensland Motorkhana Advisory Panel.

17. Protests/ Appeals

Protests or appeals must be made in accordance with Part XII or Part XIII of the National Competition Rules.

18. Judges of Fact

All officials and timekeepers at test areas shall be deemed as Judges of Fact in accordance with NCR 181 and 18.2 / 18.3 of the National Motorkhana Code.

19. Awards

Trophies may be awarded to Queensland Motorkhana Championship Competitors:

1st ,2nd and 3rd Outright and 1st in each class.

20. General

A speed limit of 15kph is required in all areas except the competition areas.
