Parent Involvement Plan

Sedgefield Middle School’s Title I school wide- program encourages parents to be involved in their child’s education. This policy outlines the parent involvement activities that will be conducted during the school year (2017-2018).

Parents will receive a copy of the Parent Involvement Policy, which describes the ongoing activities that are held to inform and involve parents in the child’s education.

Parents will receive a copy of the Parent-School Compact. This is an agreement between the home and school outlining everyone’s responsibility for supporting student learning.

A school open house will be held on 8/24/17. We look forward to seeing you.

A Title I annual parent meeting will be held on 9/28/17. This meeting will cover:

-the results of the annual review meeting from last spring

- activities children will be involved in

-how children will be assessed to determine growth

-how and when the assessment information will be sent home to the parents

-parental involvement and services that SedgefieldMiddle School offers

-data from 16-17 school year

This meeting will also give parents the opportunity to actively participate and have input into the Title I school wide program

A quarterly newsletter with suggestions on how to work with your child, lists of good books to read with your child, as well as other information, will be sent home periodically to provide an opportunity to inform parents on how to help their children succeed in school. This newsletter will also be posted on the school’s web site.

Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for 10/30/17. Teachers will be available to review your child’s progress and answer any questions. Parent conferences are also ongoing and scheduled whenever the parent would like to schedule a conference with their child’s teachers.

A survey will be given to parents in the spring that will allow parents a chance to voice their feelings about the Title I school wide program. We look forward to suggestions and recommendations from parents that can help us improve our Title I program.

An annual review meeting is held each year in the spring to review the Title I School- wide program on May 7,2018. Parents are welcome to attend. The results from the parent survey, as well as teacher input, will be considered when planning for the next year. The results of this annual review meeting will be shared with parents at the annual parent meeting in the fall.

We invite parents to call the school or your child’s teachers at any time during the year to ask any questions you may have or to schedule a visit or meeting. It is our hope that your child will have wonderful experience learning at Sedgefield Middle School.

El Centro de Sedgefield Educa' Titula Educo el programa ancho favorece a cada padre a participar en la educación de su niño. Esta política resume las actividades de la participación de padre que serán realizadas durante el año escolar (2017-2018).

Los padres recibirán una copia de la Política de la participación de Padre – que describe las actividades progresivas que son tenidas para informar e implicar a padres en la educación del niño.

Los padres recibirán una copia de la Padre-Escuela Comprime- esto es un acuerdo entre el hogar y la escuela que resumen todos responsabilidad para apoyar aprender de estudiante.

Una escuela abre la casa será aguantada 8/24/17. Esperamos verle. Un Título yo reunión anual de padre será aguantada 9/28/17 antes de la casa abierta.

Esta reunión cubrirá: - Los resultados de la revisión anual que encuentra de última primavera - qué niños de actividades participarán en, - cómo niños serán valorados para determinar el crecimiento, - cómo y cuando la información de la evaluación será enviada en casa a los padres. Esta reunión también les dará a padres la oportunidad de participar activamente y para tener la

entrada en el Título yo Educo el programa ancho 16-17.

  • El boletín mensual, las sugerencias en cómo trabajar con su niño, las listas de libros buenos para leer con su niño así como otra información será enviada en casa para proporcionar periódicamente la oportunidad de entrenar a padres para ayudar a sus niños consiguen la escuela. ¡Este boletín también será anunciado en la escuela el sitio ancho!
  • Las conferencias de padres y maestros son planificadas para el 10/30/17. Los maestros estarán disponibles revisar el progreso de su niño y contestar cualquier pregunta que usted puede tener. La conferencia del padre es también progresiva y planificó siempre que el padre quiera planificar una conferencia con los maestros de su niño.
  • Una inspección será dada a padres en la primavera del año que permitirá a padres una oportunidad de expresar sus sentimientos acerca del Título que Educo el programa ancho. Esperamos las sugerencias a recomendaciones de usted que puede ayudar nosotros mejoran nuestro Título que programo.
  • Una reunión anual de la revisión es tenida cada año en la primavera para revisar el Título que Educo el programa ancho en el 7 de may de 2018. Los padres son libre de asisten. Los resultados de la inspección de padre así como entrada de maestro serán considerados al planear para el el año próximo. Los resultados de esta reunión anual de la revisión serán compartidos con padres en la reunión anual de padre en la caída.
  • Nosotros le invitamos a llamar la escuela o los maestros de su niño en tiempo durante el año para preguntar cualquier pregunta que usted puede tener o planificar una visita o la reunión. Es nuestra esperanza que sus niños tendrán una experiencia maravillosa que aprende en Colegio de Sedgefield.
