M/s. Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd., Industrial Packaging-Kolkata invite sealed tenders in single bid from competent and experienced contractor with sound technical and financial capabilities for supply and erection of Spiral Cast Iron Staircase, Steel Door & Misc. Civil work at P4/1, Oil Installation Road, Kolkata- 700 088.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work under this tender covers, procurement of material, manufacture/ assembly, proper packing, transportation up to project site, fixing, painting, quality inspection and commissioning of Spiral Cast Iron Staircase and Steel Door. Vendor / contractor shall get all drawings approved by owner before taking up manufacturing activities including misc. civil work.
COMPLETION PERIOD
Time is the essence of contract. The time schedule for delivery & installation including doors fitting with accessories to the work site shall be Four (4) weeks from the date of placement of order.
SITE VISIT
Response from registered vendors alone will be accepted and that other interested vendors may seek to register with the unit and subject to such registration being confirmed, they would be considered for the subsequent Tenders.
Interested vendors are advised to visit worksite to get them familiarized with the requirement of the work before submitting their bid. To organize site visit please contact Sri S.Laha during office hours(Cont No. No. 9830459738).
SUPPLY OF MATERIAL
All materials required for the work shall be supplied by the vendor.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
On acceptance of the bid, contractor shall within seven (7) days, deposit a Security Deposit of 2% of the contract value in the form of Demand Draft/Pay Order payable at Kolkata in fovour of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd.
No interest will be payable against the security deposit. Security deposit will be refunded after successful completion of the job.
TAXES & DUTIES
The bidder should mention clearly the taxes and duties including service tax, VAT, etc. in their offer.
STATUTORY
Statutory provisions like PF / ESI, Minimum wages Act. & Contract Labour R & A Act. should be complied. Vendor should also provide all documentary evidence pertaining to the statutory compliance, if desired by us or any Statutory Authority.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
Bids of any tenderer may be rejected if a conflict of interest between the bidder and the company is detected at stage.

TERMS OF PAYMENT
90% payment with full taxes and duties shall be made on completion of work duly certified by Officer-In-Charge. 10% balance of the payment will be withheld as Retention Money and will be released after completion of six months. Retention money may be released against issue of Performance Bank Guarantee of the equal amount. The retention money will be forfeited/utilized for any bad workmanship/defect materials if detected during six months after completion of the job.
VALIDITY OF OFFER
Bidders shall keep their offer valid for a period Sixty (60) days from the due date or opening of tender.

NON-CONFORMANCE
Tenders not conforming to the above mentioned requirement are liable to be rejected.
ARBITRATION
Any dispute or difference whatsoever arising between the parties out of or relating to the construction, interpretation, application, meaning, scope operation or effect of this contract or the validity or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Arbitration of the “SCOPE Forum of Conciliation and Arbitration” and the award made in pursuance thereof shall be binding on the parties.
LIQUIDATED DAMAGE
In case of delay in completion of work, the Contract Order value will get reduced @ 1% of the total Contract Order value per week of delay or part thereof subject to a maximum of 5% of the total Contract value after which, action will be taken by Owner to complete the job by his own at the risk and cost of the contractor.
FORCE MAJEURE
Any delay in or failure of the performance of either party hereto shall not constitute default hereunder or give rise to any claims for damages, if any, to the extent such delays failure of performance is caused by occurrences such as Acts of God or the public enemy expropriation or confiscation of facilities by Government Authorities, compliance with any order or request of any Governmental Authorities, was fires, floods, riots or illegal strikes.

and painted with one coat wooden primer & two coat
enamel paint at the 1st Floor and 2nd Floor with
locking system from inside to access the Spiral
Staircase from inside and complete in all respect.
3 Supplying and laying in position brick work with approved 1.5 Sq.M
quality Traditional bricks in half brick thick walls at
mezzanine floor in cement-sand mortar (1:4) with H.B netting
at every third layer including necessary scaffolding mixing
mortar, laying bricks, racking joints, water curing etc. with all
materials and labour complete as per drawing and
specification and as directed by Officer-In-Charge.
4 Providing, mixing and laying min. 15mm thick 1:4 (cement- 3 Sq.M
sand mortar) plaster to masonry and concrete surfaces at all
elevations including curing and necessary scaffolding, making
grooves, drip mould etc. complete as per specification and direction of Officer-In-Charge.
5 Dismantling / Demolition work with all labour, tools and
Tackles complete as per direction of Officer-In-Charge
Including cleaning of the area of all spoils and carting away debries outside the premises as detailed below-
a) Plain concrete.
b) Reinforced concrete including cutting of steel bars..
