Printer Setup for PassagePoint Global
PassagePoint Global will work with almost any printer that uses Windows print drivers. The following explanation details how to integrate the Dymo Turbo 450 printer with PassagePoint Global. Printer output is important in order to create a Visitor Credential that is company specific. For this example we will use the Dymo Turbo printer.
Figure 1
The Dymo printer can either be directly connected to the client computer via a USB cable or via network jack using a network printer appliance[1]
Windows Print Settings
Your printer must have the manufacturers print drivers installed on the client computer prior to integrating the device with PassagePoint. You will need to select the proposed PassagePoint printer from the Print Settings Menu.
Figure 2
Right click the printer and select properties.
Figure 3
You may need to change the Paper label size. This is done by clicking on the Printing Preferences button.
Figure 4
Depending in how you want the badge to print you will either select Portrait or landscape. For this example please select Landscape. Then click on the Advanced Button.
Figure 5
Use the drop list and pick the proper label size that you will be using. The largest label size for the Turbo 450 is the 30256 Shipping label. For this exercise we will use this label size.
Figure 6
Next select the Print quality Drop list and select Barcodes and Graphics from the print quality Dropbox.
Figure 7
In the print density Dropbox a decision needs to be made. You can select normal and get a quick picture but note; the picture may be little dark or you can select medium. A better quality picture will be printed but the print time will extend to 10 seconds from 5 seconds.

Once you select your print density, click on the OK Button
Click on the apply Button. You may get a message that the Bar Code and Graphics need to be adjust. Click OK to fix the code. Once it is corrected then click the OK Button

Aligning Labels
When loading labels into the printer make sure, the labels feed from the bottom of the spindle. Feed the label into the feeder and press the blue-lighted button. Once the button is pressed, the label will feed to the cutter. Make sure the label guide is slid snuggly against the label as depicted in Figure 10. If the guide is not snug then the internal light will not know when to stop feeding the label. You know if the guide is not in place if 4 or more labels spit.
Figure 10
You are now ready to add the Dymo Printer to your Station Preferences in the PassagePoint Global program. Please reference to the Station if Preferences sheet.
If you are having problems with the Printer installation, please check with your Information Technology Department first.
