What: Two days in Alice Springs learning about language, culture, land and spirituality from local Aboriginal elders and participating in reflection sessions on desert spirituality and social change, and a four night 4WD Drive desert journey into the East McDonnell Ranges led by John Cavanagh, an Eastern Arrente Elder and traditional healer.
When:Saturday 22 July to Saturday 29 July, 2017
Who:Are you 18- 30? Interested in finding out more about Aboriginal culture? Drawn to the Australian Desert? Willing to reflect on your life and faith with people from a variety of backgrounds? Up for basic bush living? - You will be sleeping in a swag, helping to set up camp and cook meals outdoors, and camping without electricity and shower/toilet facilities.
Cost:The Scholarship will cover all costs once you arrive in Alice Springs. You will need to provide (or fundraise) your airfare to and from Alice Springs. If this would prevent you coming, please let us know in your application.
How:Complete the attached form and submit to Celia Kemp. We are able to fund 3-4 attendees.
