ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Students should be on MBA level or at least on the Master level selected by partner schools and should have work experience
TERM DATES
There are both fall semester and spring semester in an academic year. The exact start date and ending date of each semester depend on the school calendar which will be informed to partner schools prior to the semester begins.
Fall semester: Sept.1-mid Jan.
Spring semester: mid Feb.-mid June
Exchange students are recommended to arrive in Shanghai one week prior to the start of the semester for settling down and orientation.

Nomination from partner schools and application documents should be sent by mailing before the following deadline.
Fall semester: May 30

LEARNING EXPECTATIONS

L anguage of instruction: English
W orkload: in IMBA program, courses are either 2 credits or 3 credits. The 2 credits courses correspond to 36 contact hours and 3 credits courses correspond to 54 contact hours. 2 or 3 credits are equal to 5 ECTS.
Students may choose a maximum of 6 courses. FDSM does not require the minimum of courses students have to choose.
A ttendance: compulsory
E xamination: examinations are scheduled at the end of each course.
Transcript: FDSM will send an official transcript of exchange student to the home coordinator within three months after the ending of the semester.
Language course: TBD
ACCOMMODATION
Exchange student can apply for the Foreign Student Dormitory on line in a definite period. Reservation website: www.fso.fudan.edu.cn.
Detailed information of the dormitory application can be found in the “Handbook for Registration” sent to you before the semester begins. However, if there is no rooms available, exchange students have to rent an off-campus apartment.

VISA AND RESIDENCE PERMIT
FDSM recommend exchange students to apply for a residence permit after entry, including those who hold F Visa with single-entry but plan to go abroad within the valid date.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
According to the regulations issued by the Chinese Ministry of Education, all exchange students are required to purchase Foreign Student Overall Insurance.
BUDDY SYSTEM
A buddy system has been set up for the exchange students. The buddies will give help to the exchange students at the beginning and throughout the exchange period. They will organize a campus-tour, a welcome party as well as ease the exchange students about the life in Shanghai.
FACILITIES
The school library, the playground, the dinning hall are opened to exchange students when holding a student card and campus card. Student may enjoy the wireless internet in all classrooms in the Starr Building.
