REMEMBERING 9/11

Following the September 11, 2001, terrorists attacks, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued A Pastoral Message: Living With Faith and Hope After September 11. The message remains extremely relevant as we reflect on what happened 10 years ago today. Visit www.usccb.org and search on “9/11” to re-read, reflect on, and pray with the bishops’ statement, for only with God’s help can we have the strength to forgive and the ability to live in hope instead of fear and hatred.

Stevy Cellum, Robert McDonald, Kellie Merrick. Continue to pray for those on the September prayer sheet. Additional copies are in the vestibule.

Class for 2011-12 started this Sunday. If you wanted to attend or know someone that would like to join, they meet in the Annex Office every Sunday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. It is open to non-Catholics wanting to know more about the Catholic Faith or who are interested in becoming a Catholic. Also, it is for Catholics who feel they need to be better grounded in their Faith.

“I truly got the help I needed during my pregnancy, and the best example of how I can be a good parent for my baby girl. I don’t know what would have happened if Holy Family Home had not been there for my baby and me. The program gave me the confidence to turn my back on drugs, alcohol and cigarettes. Thank you for everything.” MP (age 16)
