Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be ahigh school senior applying to a 2-year or 4-year program at an accredited institution of higher learning and be a dependent of an active Prince William Education Association member-member does not have to be a Prince William County resident.

Selection Committee:

A selection committee comprised of members of the Prince William Education Association reviews all scholarship applications on a competitive basis. Applications will be evaluated using the following criteria:

  • Academic Record (unofficial transcript report)
  • Essay
  • Extra-curricular activities
  • Letters of Recommendation

The decision of the committee is final.

Your application must be typed and submitted by 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Application must include your high school transcript, essay, and two letters of recommendation.Attach additional sheets if needed. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. SCHOLARSHIP DISTRIBUTION IS CONTINGENT UPON PROOF OF ENROLLMENT AT AN ACCREDITED INSTITUTION.You will be issued and required to complete a 1099 tax form if you are the recipient of this scholarship.
