Omicron Delta Kappa
National Leadership Honor Society
Dear Prospective Member:
Omicron Delta Kappa is a junior/senior honor society open to students in any major who have already completed sixty-one hours, have at least junior class standing, and are in the top 35% of their class for their school or college.
The purposes of Omicron Delta Kappa are, “First to recognize those who have attained a high standard of efficiency in collegiate activities and to inspire others to strive for conspicuous attainments along similar lines; second, to bring together the most representative students in all phases of collegiate life and thus to create an organization which will help to mold the sentiment of the institution of questions of local and intercollegiate interest; third, to bring together members of the faculty and student body of the institution on a basis of mutual interest and understanding. Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes and encourages achievement in scholarship; athletics; social, service, and religious activities, and campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; creative and performing arts.”
It is now time for our spring selection process. To be eligible for ODK, students must have completed sixty-one hours, have at least junior classification, and be in the top 35% of their respective school or college. Applications are available at the New Student Center in the Campus Organization Reception Area desk in Suite 3130 and online at our website, www.auburn.edu/odk. Applications will not be accepted later than Wednesday, April 7th, at 5:00pm. Two copies of the completed application, including grade and top 35% verification from your Dean, should be turned in to the appropriate box at the New Student Center in the Campus Organization Reception Area desk in Suite 3130. Please be sure to turn in two copies of the application. If selected for membership, you will be required to attend an initiation ceremony and pay a one-time initiation fee of $90.
