The Arts Co-ordinator will co-ordinate a school-wide arts programme for all pupils.
Key activities and Responsibilities
- Liaise with Arts providers in the community to access arts events and projects onsite and elsewhere.
- Deliver at least one area of the Arts through direct teaching (e.g. Music, Art, Drama, Dance), including exam courses at Entry level and L1/2.
- Co-ordinate the Arts within the school, including events, festivals and projects.
- Collaborate with other schools/ providers to access or develop Arts projects.
- Promote the Arts in order to retain a key focus on Gosden as an ArtSpace (Gosden Lighthouse).
- Support other schools and providers through Outreach to improve Arts provision (capacity dependent).
- Through Inreach, offer Arts courses and/ or qualifications at Gosden House. This could be as part of a Special Options offer, the Pegasus project (a part time offer to engage YP at risk of becoming Children Missing in Education (CME)) or through informal arrangements.
- Lead on attaining awards, such as Arts Awards and Artsmark.
