Case Study & Presentation Requirements
Teamwork
For the presentation of the case study students have to form small (4-8 members) groups, and work together on it. The points will be given in group (every group member gets the same points). That is students have to give the list of their group members to the lecturer before the presentation, with their signature.
Topic
One freely chosen question – connected to the examined human resource management topics (especially problems related to the chosen firm). For example: basic issues and current problems of the performance management, reward system or motivation (these are just optional topics). Each group have to show their analytical skills, so it is required to use relevant research techniques (for example structured interview with the head of the examined company). The followings are necessary (obligatory):
· Introducing the company (location, profile, professional past, number of employees and any additional information that needed)
· The summary of the group work and methodology (how they complete their research)
· The exposition of the certain HRM problem
· Conclusion
Formal requirements
· Students are asked to use at least 10 sources (books, articles etc) for the 2nd presentation and a minimum of 4 for the 1st presentation.
· Each group has to hand in a one page summary (abstract) of the presentation. (Content for the 1st presentation: aim of the essay, used literature with references; Content for the 2nd presentation: aim of the essay, used literature with references, basic statements and results)
· Charts, diagrams can be used on the ppt
· The length of the presentation should 20 minutes, and from this, at least 15 mins. have to discuss the main questions (the introduction of the company and the literature review should be a maximum of 5 mins.)
· The groups have to introduce themselves and the topic of their presentation at the beginning
