The event focused on the challenges of raising children in single-parent homes. David Miller, founder of “Raising Him Alone Foundation,” facilitated the roundtable discussion. A Q & A session featuring panelists Dr. Mahalia Hines, a Chicago Public Schools board member, Wanda Taylor, a Frazier Magnet School parent, and Marcus Thorne, the Director of Mentoring for the Young Men’s Educational Network (YMEN) in North Lawndale.
