Dear FGI Members & Friends,
As the FGI, Inc. Cleveland Regional Director, I am currently collaborating with the other FGI members within the area and the Ursuline College Counseling & Career Services Office to put together a virtual job and internship fair. A virtual job fair is much like an on site job fair except that students will communicate with you online rather than face to face. The benefit of a virtual fair is that employers who are otherwise unable to travel to attend a traditional fair will have the same opportunity to recruit students from diverse geographical areas.As an employer you will have access to the resumes and cover letters of Cleveland area fashion students from Ursuline College. Upon receipt of students’ application materials you may communicate with them using the method of your choice, whether it is email, phone, or an invitation to a face to face interview.
You have been invited to participate because of your FGI Membership or Cleveland fashion company. Our virtual job and internship fair will last for three weeks beginning on Monday, October 29, 2007 and ending on Friday, November 16, 2007. If you choose to participate you may post your jobs or internships at any time during this period, although you will receive the most exposure to students if your position is posted prior to the start of the event. Admission to this event will be on a sliding scale and will be $125 for for-profit employers and $85 for non-profit employers.
Technical support will be available for all participants via e-campus recruiter. Employers are encouraged to provide detailed information about their company including links to company webpages, online application forms, and company logos or other visual information to make your job posting stand out from the crowd.
