Information on Admission to K1-K3 Classes (Half Day Session) in the 2018/19 School Year

EDB will generally take six to eight weeks to complete theprocessing of applications and issue the “RC”
to eligible applicants by post
If astudent cannot obtain
an“RC”as he/she can receive education in Hong Kong but
is not eligible for receiving
subsidy under the Scheme,
EDB will then issue a“Kindergarten Admission Pass”(hereafter
referred to as“AP”) to the student concerned for registration.

(1)Admission Information:

  1. Students who were born between 1stOctober 2014 and31stDecember 2015 can apply for K1(Half Day Session) in 2018/19. Students who were born between 1stOctober 2013 and 31stDecember 2014 can apply for K2 in 2018/19.Students who were born between 1stOctober 2012 and 31stDecember 2013 can apply for K3 in 2018/19.
  2. Parents are encouraged to submit an Online Application through the link posted on our website Parents are required to upload a scanned copy of the birth certificate, a recent photo and a scanned copy of the Bank Slip of the Application Feeof $40.(Applications will not be processed if information is not completed. Fees are non-refundable.) Please submit a copy of the birth certificate and the original copy of theBank Slip of the Application Fee of $40 on the interview day. Parents are required to pay theApplication Fee of $40 again if the originalcopy of the bank slip cannot be provided. (In case of a faded bank slip, please make a copy of it and hand in with the true copy.Cheque transfers are not accepted, please pay a cash deposit. To avoid disclosure of personal information, please do not pay via online banking. Parents should bear the transaction cost/ service charge incurred for any payment methods.)
  3. Parents can also request an application form by post. (Please mark with “K1 to K3 Application Form”on the envelope) and provide a self-addressed stamped envelope (with $1.7 Stamp). Please submit the completed application form with acopy of the birth certificate, a recent photo, application feeof $40 and three self-addressed stamped envelopes (with $1.7 Stamp on each envelope) on Open Day (on 28thOctober 2017, 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Parents can submit an application in person to the school office at either theKing’s Road Campus (1/F, Yuet Ming Building, 129 King’s Road) or theFortress Hill Campus (1/F, Princess Mansion, 165 King’s Road) only on Open Day. A late submission will not be accepted. (For those who requested a form by post, please submit it on this day.)
  4. No other information is required.

(2)Briefing on Course Content will be held at the Causeway Bay Community Centre(3/F, 7 Fook Yum Road, Causeway Bay). There will be two briefing sessions with the same content. Parents are welcome to join. No prior registration is needed.
First Briefing: 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Second Briefing: 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

(3)All are welcome to join our Open Day onSaturday28thOctober. Our King’s Road Campus and Fortress Hill Campus will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

(4)Interview Arrangement：

  1. Interviews will be appointed by the school on either 11th November or 25th November.
  2. Interviews will be arranged for all applicants.
  3. Interviews will be conducted at our King’s Road Campus.
  4. Interviews will be conducted in Cantonese.
  5. A parent should accompany the child for the interview.

  7. Admission Criteria:
  8. No admission is required for those who are currently studying in the 2-year old Nursery in our school in 2017/18. They can proceed to K1 directly.
  9. New Applicants:
  10. Interview performance.
  11. The applicants with sibling(s) who have studied or arecurrently studying in our school will be given priority.

(5)If parents wish to enroll their children in K1 classes in the 2018/19 School Year, they are required to submit their application for the “RC”/ “AP”to EDB. “RC”/ “AP” will be regarded as the registration document on the Registration Day. If parents cannot submit the “RC”/ “AP”, we may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit their application to EDB within the designated period.

(6)The registration fee for a2018/19 K1 place is HK$970. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify us in writing. We will return the “RC”/ “AP”, but the registration fee will not be refunded and the place will be reallocated. Applicants on the waiting list: If an applicant is admitted after the registration day, parents should complete the registration procedures according to the specified date appointed by us. Parents are required to submit the original of the “RC”/ “AP”and pay the registration fee.
