About the Role
The WCB is seeking a service- oriented, adaptable, analytical thinker with strong development skills to join our Information Technology Services Team.
As a Programmer Analyst/Web Developer your role is critical to the smooth operation of production application systems within WCB. You would work as part of a team toward the technical analysis, definition, construction and delivery of application systems. You would be responsible for programming and systems analyses, the analysis of user requirements and impacts/ implications of user requests. You would design, develop and maintain information systems and assist in the development of system construction standards. You would also be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of user related projects designed to improve productivity, enhance service and provide timely information and decision support to users.

As an ideal candidate, you possess:
· A university degree in computer science or related field, such as mathematics, engineering or physics, plus a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a systems development/technical/support/operational position.
AND
· A minimum of two years’ experience in a Web Development Environment using tools associated with the current and/or planned WCB systems environment is required which include: Microsoft .NET Framework, Visual Studio .NET, VB.NET or C#, ASP.NET, Version Control software (ex. SourceSafe/ Team Foundation Server), XML, XSL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL Server, Programming Stored Procedures, IIS, Active Directory as well as a strong knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Programming and Object Relational Mapping concepts.
Previous experience in the IBM iSeries environment and specifically, LANSA development experience would be an asset
· Previous experience with ASP.NET MVC would be an asset.
· Previous experience working in a team environment is required.
An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
We offer a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $58,079 - $72,591.
