General information

Authors are kindly requested to follow these instructions for the preparation of manuscripts to be included in the Conference Proceedings (USB flash drive). A manuscript can be sent for each KEYNOTE, ORAL or POSTER presentation. English language must be used.

3. Format: pdf file (please make sure that the Word special characters are correctly transformed in the pdf file and do not add any protection to the file).

4. File Name: Save your document as: abstract number-presenting author name.pdf (e.g. 69235-Habazaki.pdf)

5. Length: no limitation

6. Size of the file: 1Mbyte maximum

7. Page set-up: A4 paper format (210 x 297 mm). Margins: 2.5 cm wide on each side. Page number centred at the bottom.

First page

Title, names and affiliations: The title should be centred in bold 14pt letters, followed by the name(s) of the author(s) (centred, 12 pt), and affiliations i.e. postal and e-mail addresses (centred, italic, 12 pt). The name of the presenting author should be underlined. Please leave a blank line between the title and the authors, the authors and the affiliations, and two blank lines between the affiliations and the body of the text.

Abstract (not Abstract nor Abstractnor Abstract): not exceeding 1500 characters, can be the same as the one submitted for the call for papers (11 pt)

Keywords (notKeywords norKeywordsnor Keywords): maximum 5 keywords (avoid obvious words e.g. corrosion) separated by “;”(11 pt)

Second page and following

The text should be single-spaced and justified using Times New Roman 12pt font.

Tables and Figures

Tables and Figures should be incorporated in the text. Please remember that the size of the file must not exceed 1Mbyte otherwise the manuscript will not be included in the USB Key. Captions must be numbered and typed in 12pt italic. The characters of the figures must be large enough to be easily read.

References

References must be numbered in square brackets (e.g. [1]), in the order of appearance in the text. The list of references should be included at the end of the text.
