Purpose and Agreement
The purpose of the management team is to help with the utmost integrity and intention, plant a new church or campus ministry in . You, as a team member, will helpaccomplish God’s vision by:
- Lifting up-as a team member who will seek to understand their challenges, lift them before God and others, and offer support that will affirm them as God’s people.
- Reigning in- There will be times when will be going “faster” or in a direction that does not fully lean into the vision of the ministry. They will need you to reign them in during these times.
- Pushing out-There will be situations when will need to be encouraged to move forward, to work the plans that support the establishment and growth of the new church or ministry. They will need you to push them out into the work.
As a management team member you will provide accountability, leadership, guidance and encouragement in three designated areas:
- Theological Accountability: to instruct appropriately
- Strategic Accountability: to plan and implement wisely
- Ethical Accountability: to live well
The management team agrees to fulfill these three parameters by:
- Holding to the theological foundations portrayed in Restoration Movement churches (a separate document should describe expectations, parameters, and agreements on critical points)
- Provide strategic accountability for as the vision leader and the church/ministry as an organization
- To hold to a high ethical standard as shown by Jesus
Reporting/ Meeting
To accomplish these objectives, team members should meet at least 4 times a year for the purposes of reporting, vision direction, work progress, monitoring personal and corporate health (spiritual, financial, emotional), and reviewing the three designated areas.
This team will convene as scheduled:
- Chair-Monthly meeting with the planter
- Team-Quarterly via video conference
- The team should make it a priority to conduct one on-site meeting a year
