Setting Up Default Location and Printer Settings
Step / ActionNavigate to the Default Location & Printers program (P400951) on the Inventory Setup menu (G4141).
Click the Define Warehouse Locations link.
Use the Work With Default Location & Printers form to set up default locations and printers.
Click the Add button.
Use the Default Location & Approval form to define a default location and approval route code.
Use the Terminal/User ID field to enter the user ID.
Enter the desired information into the Terminal/User ID field. Enter a valid value e.g. "PGS".
Click in the Branch/Plant field.
Use the Branch/Plant field to enter an alphanumeric code that identifies a separate entity for which you want to track costs.
Enter the desired information into the Branch/Plant field. Enter a valid value e.g. "30".
Use the Approval Route Code field to enter a code that determines to whom the system routes a purchase order for approval.
In this example, you will not assign a value in this field.
Use the Blend Business Unit and Grower Cost Center fields if you are using the SY31B system.
Click the OK button.
Click the Cancel button.
Click in the Terminal/User Id field.
Enter the desired information into the Terminal/User Id field. Enter a valid value e.g. "PGS".
Next, select the newly assigned record to update the print information.
Click the Find button.
Click the PGS option.
Click the Row button.
Click the Print Queues menu.
Use the Default Print Queues form to assign default print queues.
Print programs that you have automatically defined access the Default Print Queues table (F40096). To display other print programs, you must set them up as UDCs and modify them to access the F40096 table.
Default print queues represent the location where the system sends certain documents. You can assign a default print queue so that each time you print, the system sends the document to the default queue.
If you do not assign a default queue, the system first accesses the print queues that were assigned in the version list, and then accesses the print queue that is assigned to your user profile.
Click the OK button.
Click the Close button.
You have successfully assigned a default branch/plant and printer information to a user ID.
