Travel Trade Executive - Corporate / GRADE: B / DATE:December 2016
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Travel Trade and Corporate Relationship Manager, maintain and develop relationships with travel management companies and corporate clients to promote Birmingham Airportand increase passenger numbers through airline promotion, safeguarding the reputation and raising the profile of the Airport.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Relationship and Reputation
a)Create, maintain and grow relationships with travel management companies within the Birmingham city and region through a field sales visit programme
b)Create, maintain and grow relationships with corporates in the Midlands area to understand their travels needs and increase their utilisation of Birmingham Airport.
c)Pro-actively seek and introduce new corporate clients to Birmingham Airport
d)Facilitate campaigns with travel trade partners and airlines focusing on load factor uplift and new route promotion
e)Monitor and initiate travel trade incentives to encourage year on year growth
f)Look at new ways of raising the profile of Birmingham Airport
g)Oversee travel agent manager’s meetings, travel trade eventsand Airport tours
Specialist Responsibilities
Company Car
h)To ensure that the company car is always presented in a clean and tidy manner and be responsible for arranging its maintenance
Writing Skills and Creativity
i)Maintain and update Birmingham Airport’s travel trade contacts database
j)Create and update presentations under the guidance of Travel Trade and Corporate Relationships Manager
k)Collate and deliver reports on feedback and progress
l)Additional administrative responsibilities within the Aviation DevelopmentTeam

m)Develop an understanding of other team members’ purposes and support as appropriate
Customer Focus
n)To maintain a proactive dialogue with internal and external customers, responding to feedback appropriately and efficiently, to maximise customer satisfaction
o)Promote the Company values
p)Act as one of the Company’s representatives at Airport, Airline and Travel Trade events
q)Participate in events and exhibitions where appropriate, and provide expertise and assistance to other members of the Airport team and its partners
Safety
r)To ensure all Health & Safety responsibilities are discharged and to maintain compliance with best practice and legal requirements
Flexible Approach
s)To undertake out-of-hours and weekend working in relation to and in pursuance of the post
t)To carry out such other duties commensurate with the grading of the post, which may be determined from time to time
