Affiliate Agreement

The KIDS FIRST! Film Festivalprogram is available for film festivals, film societies, art, science and children's museums, community organizations, libraries, churches and schools.

Programming is available for

  • Film Festivals - Annual events
  • Film Series - Weekly screenings
  • Special Programming such as Toddler Time, educational programming, special museum programming, multi-lingual programs

Your Benefits

Select from more than 300 short films and 30 features.

  • No additional screening fee; includes all public performance rights
  • Larger venues (more than 1,000 attendees) may qualify for talent or costume characters
  • Training for one person in the KIDS FIRST! on-line juror training

Your Responsibilities

  • $150 Annual Membership Fee for nonprofit organizations.
  • Provide appropriate venue and acceptable technical equipment for quality projection
  • Handle all local publicity and advertising
  • Manage all aspects of screenings
  • Provide the screening free of charge. (note: you may charge a festival fee but not a per film admission)

Responsibilities of the Organization

  • Will notify KIDS FIRST! of screening times and dates.
  • Will NOT charge admission for screenings of the films.
  • Will only offer the program at the addresses listed in this agreement. No other locations are permitted without written permission.
  • Will not duplicate, edit or modify any films provided by KIDS FIRST!

Will include the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival logo whereever other sponsor logos are placed, including print and electronic, if applicable.

Include, where ever a KIDS FIRST! title is listed, either:

oA small KIDS FIRST! Film Festival logo

oOr, the words "programming provided by KIDS FIRST!"

  • Send KIDS FIRST! copies of press, membership materials and other information that promote the program and specific events.
  • Pay for shipping to and from KIDS FIRST!

Return the KIDS FIRST! DVDs, if applicable, by the 15th of the month following screenings.

Ticket Sales

  • Individual ticket sales are expressly prohibited.
  • However, screenings may be included as part of an admission price (i.e. admission to a museum or special event).

Venues may NOT charge admission for individual screening, but may request a "donation."

Admission as part of a film festival pass or included in the general admission price is permitted.

All KIDS FIRST! Film Festival shorts that are 60 min or less may be viewed in their entirety and trailers for features on vimeo at This is password protected so that only our festival programmers have access to it. Please help keep it that way by not sharing the password which is Stingray (capital S).
We add new films constantly so please check in often for new films. If you would like a screener for a feature, please send us a request. We will send you either a high rez file or a DVD.

Ordering information:

Once you make your selection of films from vimeo, notify us of your selections and the times & dates you plan to play them. Then, we will give you a code to use to download them to your computer or flash drive for your festival play.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing and shipment of orders. Express orders can be accommodated, but your organization is responsible for expedited shipping charges.

Synopsis, Art and Logos

You are allowed to advertising the titles, including the use of artwork for these films. Low rez versions of the art are available on our website (kidsfirst.org) along with synopsis, age recommendations, runtime, etc.Simply do a search for the title and cut and paste the information you need. If you need high rez art for print, please email us. We will connect you with the filmmaker to obtain exactly what you need.

When listing programs, place a small KIDS FIRST! Film Festival logo or the words "programming provided by KIDS FIRST!" with each title. This is a requirement so that the filmmakers know this is an authorized screening of their title.

IMPORTANT: KIDS FIRST! must always be in caps with exclamation point. We are trademarked that way and need consistent use to protect our trademark.

Give Aways: Partner with us for our monthly sweepstakes by simply adding our banner ad to your website. Support us and we'll continue to support you. Also, we often have DVDs to send you for give aways at your event. Ask.

KIDS FIRST! Youth Film Critic Reviews: Your annual membership fee allows you access to our youth film critics reviews who review most new films or DVD rated PG-13 or younger. You can use their reviews on your website by simply embedding the code. Simply let us know you wish to receive this and we will add you to our monthly distribution list.
