- Call to Order
- Meeting was called to order at 5:02pm.
- Invocation
- Invocation was led by Isaiah Mayfield.
- Roll Call

- Adoption of Minutes
- Trenton Hines moved that the minutes from be accepted as printed.
- Amber Pugh seconded that motion.
- Adoption of Agenda
- Trenton Hines moved that the agenda be accepted as printed.
- Shanece Solomon seconded that motion.
- Executive Board Reports
- President: Byron informed the council are supposed to vote to actually have a social event as NPHC and that it must be at least 30% for the council that wants to do whatever said event. If everyone is okay with it, we can vote” yay or nay” for the car wash event. The car wash date has been approved for October 18th from 12:30 to 2:30pm. Byron also discussed the Immaculate Heart Donation of 100 dollars from each organization which was explained in email sent to presidents of each chapter. This event is to take place sometime in November.
- Vice-President:No report.
- Secretary:No report.
- Treasurer:Jenessathanked everyone for paying their dues and informed the council of the account balance.
- Parliamentarian:Bernard asked that everyone respect those who are speaking and to please keep side comments and conversations to a minimum. All is input is greatly appreciated and welcomed, but a sense of decorum must be kept.
- Committee Reports
- Fundraising/Social
- Car wash on October 18, 2013.
- We have a hose and buckets for the car wash, but we still need shammies, soap, and sponges.
- Begin selling raffle tickets on October 21st for 5 dollars.
- The prizes for the raffle are the following:
-1st place: iPad
-2nd place: $50 Don’s Seafood gift card
-3rd place: Gas Card
- Community Service
- Thanksgiving baskets the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
- Adopt a Nursing Home: the weekend before exams
-This event will have to be reviewed because we cannot have events during official dead days.
- Constitution
- The following are ideas that have been discussed as of late:
-Chapter must pay half of the Greek Expo cost if they do not participate.
-Chapter must pay $500 and would not be allowed to have any social events the following semester; however, organizations would be able to participate in events held by other organizations.
-Any voting on amendments to the constitution will be after this year’s Greek Expo.

- We need each organization to pick which silhouette they would want on the Greek Expo flyer to represent their organization by Wednesday (10/2/13).\
- Each organization needs to provide someone from their grad chapter (please no recent graduates) to serve as a judge for Greek Expo.

- Delta Sigma Theta will be having a Alzheimer’s can shake Wednesday (10/2/13) in the Quadfrom 10am-1pm.
- Alpha Kappa Alpha and Alpha Phi Alpha will be doing a joint forum on domestic violence October 9th, 2013 in Moody 103A from 6-8pm.
- General Discussion
- Next meeting we will discuss the minimum that must be given for the Thanks giving baskets.
