General

Throughout my professional career I have been translating part-time on a regular basis on a wide range of subjects, usually through recommendation by previous clients. I have just joined Proz.com as I am keen to establish my position as a full time translator.

2001 – Present

Royal Horticultural course 2yrs - Horticultural experience, practical, design and managerial in both the commercial sector and working in private gardens.

Garner Hall business consultants (Islington) – providing content summaries of consultancy related literature/books for the purpose of setting up an on-line directory of research materials.

Ad hoc translation work throughout, working from home for a period of time whilst brining up a young family

1986-1994

Retail/commercial banking experience, including translating documents for a large high street bank’s International & Overseas Trade banking division, ranging from import/export documents, legal undertakings, M&AAs, annual financial reports, wills

I am currently studying Ancient Greek language with the Open University towards a BA in history, as well as out of linguistic interest. I have a keen interest in nature, all things classical and cultural, travel and current affairs.
