Summary
I am a goal-oriented individual that possesses professional skills with
the use and maintenance of various metals operating machines (Plasma,
Cranes. Lathe, Break-punch presses, Bead blaster, Burr bench, surface
grinders, and drills.) I also set up and operate most CNC machinery.
Work History
Aker Philadelphia
As a Machinist I set up and operated theTMC4500 Messer plasma cutter
system. I loaded steel plates using a 400 ton crane to cut steel parts
from plates to use in building Oil Tankers, Cargo Ships, Barges. This
requires extensive knowledge of the Messer system.
Abington Metal Refinery
Melter
Inspected furnace refractory lining. Charges furnace with known
material, ignites furnace and sends sample of resultant melt to Quality
Assurance Test Laboratory for immediate qualitative and quantitative
analysis. Adds alloying metals, flux, and other materials in proper
sequence during melting operation. Makes additions to metal bath and
takes such other steps as are necessary to change the content or
physical characteristics of the molten metal to bring it within
specifications. When proper analysis is achieved, adjust controls to
bring melt to pouring temperature.
National Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
Brake and Punch Press Set-Up Operator,
Plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications
and work orders in the manufacturing of Air Conditioning and
Refrigeration Products. Set-Up and operate the Messer Plasma Cutting
Machine.
Department of the Treasury
Metal Forming Machine Operator
Duties were to monitor and coordinate the operation of normally between
five to six automatic coining presses which are stamping two to four
coins per stroke. Also performed maintenance tasks such as cleaning,
greasing and oiling of equipment. Made minor repairs such as disassembling and/or assembling feeder mechanisms. Feeder tubes, bowls or
other parts of machinery.
