Job Title: Project Developer

Reports To: Director of Project Development

Job Description:

In this solar photovoltaic systems sales role, candidate will be responsible for working with potential customers to define requirements for and the design of residential photovoltaic system installations. The successful candidate always looks to improve work quality, is highly articulate, self-motivated and a well-organized closer that exceeds sales quotas with integrity. He/she communicates and shares information/methods with cross-functional team members to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Achieve quarterly and yearly sales quotas for assigned area

Consistent interaction with customers providing design schematics and product information

Prospecting for and qualifying leads

Conducting site evaluations for potential clients

Providing leads with cost estimates and pricing systems

Analysis of customers’ current and projected electrical usage, and financial ROI

Negotiating contracts

Deal processing and problem resolution

Develop technical expertise to compliment strong knowledge of solar energy industry and products

Communicating with project manager regarding system design

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors' Degree from accredited university in Business, Finance or Engineering

2+ years experience in the specification, sales, design and analysis of photovoltaic systems

Expert fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCad

Excellent analytical skills with knowledge of finance/business concepts (ROI, NPV, Payback)

Understanding of general construction, electricity and electrical contracting

Knowledge of the solar marketplace, technology and industry

Ability to read, understand, and edit electrical and structural plans

Tireless personal initiative, entrepreneurial nature to drive toward solution and results

World class communication and customer service skills and experience

Proven track record in closing sales

Experience in business to consumer selling environments

Effectively educate the public about solar electricity

Communicate information both orally and in writing

Prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks

Other:

Preference given to LEED AP and/or NABCEP certified applicants

45-55% domestic travel within assigned area

Ability to work on roofs and ladders

Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
