*Note: UFCC must abide by these given rules and may not make any exceptions.
Eligibility to participate in Sport Clubs is based on the following criteria:

- Full time online students are not eligible because they are not fee-paying students.
- Must have a 2.0 UF GPA.*
Code of conduct
- As a participant in the University of Florida Sport Clubs Program, clubs and its members are expected to abide by the following:
- All club members will conduct themselves responsibly and professionally, at all club-sponsored activities.
- These include, but are not limited to, home and away events, practices, fundraisers and socials. Acceptable behavior includes whether on or off campus and in or out of Gainesville.
- All club members understand that their actions as an individual, group, or entire club impact the whole club, the Sport Clubs Program, Department of Recreational Sports, and University of Florida.
- All club members will show respect to all teammates, opponents, referees, officials, spectators, staff and employees.
- All club members will adhere to all Sport Clubs policies and procedures, as outlined in the Sport Clubs Officer Manual and through officer training.
- All club members will abide by the expectations outlined under this Code of Conduct and the following sections under Guidelines for Acceptable Behavior.
- All club members will adhere to the University of Florida Student Conduct Code available through the Dean of Students Office (DSO).

- Fights, trash talking, general disrespect toward opponents, officials, event coordinators, RecSports, staff, spectators
- When appropriate, the club and its leadership should confront individual club members who are in violation or might be in violation of the behaviors and responsibilities. Realize that all it takes is one individual who cannot conduct him/herself appropriately to cause the whole group to be perceived in a negative light.
ABSENCE POLICY
The only excused absence is a University function that results in a grade. All other absences are unexcused. Part-time jobs, dances, long distance driving, family reunions, weddings, recitals, school/church socials, Greek life, and any other non- related University activities are unexcused. When you miss practice, either excused or unexcused you must learn what you missed prior to attending the next practice. After three unexcused absences there will be a formal meeting between the coach, president, and you about your position on the team and possible replacement or dismissal from the program.
INJURY AND SICK POLICY
You MUST attend practice even when you are sick OR injured. You will not be required to participate depending on the severity; however, you must be present. If you are sick and do not show up to practice it is considered UNEXCUSED. In addition, you must provide a note from a Health Care Professional with information regarding the illness or injury, treatment, and length of recovery.
UNIFORM POLICY
There will be required practice wear and uniforms for each squad that you must pay for in a timely manner. That being said, the competition wear is UNIVERSITY OWNEDfor the duration of the season even though you have paid for it. If you’re sick, injured, removed from the team, or unable to compete at an event for ANY reason, you are still REQUIRED to give back UFCC the purchased uniform for the duration of the season. At the end of the year you will be able to keep what you bought, but during the year the logos are University owned therefore you cannot refuse to let the team borrow the uniform if need be. Finally, you cannot lend out the uniformfor reasons such as senior pictures, parties, pretending to be a “UF Cheerleader” etc; including Blue giving their uniform out to Orange and vice versa. You put in so much work to be a member of this team and should be proud of it, don’t share that privilege.
PRESENTATION AND PREFORMANCE
__ I understand that my spot on the “top 20” is tentative, and in the case that someone surpasses me in skill level, the coach or the president has the right to make the decision to replace me.
__ I understand that I represent the University of Florida, and will always be on my best behavior, as it is a direct reflection of this program. Especially when wearing Florida Competitive Cheerleading apparel, I will speak and act appropriately. This includes posting material on social networking websites and the like.
__ I understand that in Fall I am REQUIRED attend at least one other Club Sport event with the team and complete three community service hours with UFCC or I will be removed from the team for the Spring semester. Fundraisers, team events, and the like are mandatory and I will be in attendance to each while wearing the proper attire. I understand that it is unfair to let a select number of teammates do all of the extra requirements.
__ I understand that I am expected to be respectful to ALL of my teammates, coaches, board, choreographers, and anyone we may come in contact with during our competitions or events including staff, judges, and other teams.
__ I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A COLLETIATE CHEERLEADING PROGRAM AND SHOULD RESPECT IT AS ONE. This being said I understand that we compete in a DI scholarship division, even though this is technically a “Club” team it will be taken as seriously as any other competitive team at the DI level. I REALIZE I AM OVER 18 AND CONSIDERED AN ADULT AND WILL NOT GET MY PARENTS INVOLED IN ANY NEGATIVE WAY WHATSOEVER. Having parents talk to the coach, President, Board, or team member in a negative, interfering, or disrespectful matter will be grounds for IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.
ATTENDING PRACTICE
__ I understand that practices start at their respective times and I will condition if I am late.I must be in the required team apparel and I know that jewelry at practice is not permissible.
__ I understand that if I quit the team or am expelled for whatever reason, I will not be originally placed on Blue the next year.
__ I understand that stretching at the beginning of practice is done to ensure that everyone is prepared to stunt, tumble, jump, etc. For this reason, I will follow whoever is leading stretch (if we are having a collective stretch) or I will stretch independently (if we are having independent stretch).
__ I understand that the ENTIRE TEAM assists in unrolling and rolling mats at the start and finish of each practice.
__ I understand that in the event that I get injured or am sick, it is still my responsibility to attend every practice or it will be UNEXCUSED, as any changes or adjustments that may be made are potentially relevant to me.
MISSING PRACTICE
__ I understand that the ONLY excused reasons for missing a practice are: exams and family emergencies. Prior commitments and/or other reasons will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
__ I understand that if I miss three or more unexcused practices throughout the year, the coach and president will have a formal meeting with me about my possible replacement or dismissal from the program.
__ I understand that in the event that the team needs more practice, two-a-days, morning practice, etc; like any other practice, it is MANDATORY.
------
__ I understand that by signing this paper, I have agreed to all of these conditions. I am FULLY COMMITTED to this team, and I understand that this commitment runs through College Nationals in mid-April. I UNDERSTAND FULLY AND AM WILLING TO ADHERE TO ALL OF THE RECSPORTS POLICIES. Failure to adhere to any of the following rules and regulations will result in consequences to be determined by the president and coach.
