Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Timothy Padulsky who passed away on September 14, 2008, after a strenuous battle with leukemia. Even through his struggle with this disease, Tim never ceased to amaze those around him with his positivity and desire to make others laugh. Tim graduated valedictorian from Woburn Memorial High School in 2005 and went on to Boston College where he studied in the Carroll School of Management.
The Timothy Padulsky Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a person with a love of learning, dedication to service, and commitment to helping others. The recipient of this scholarship will receive $1,360 to help in furthering his/her education to the college or university of his/her choice.

Essay Topic:
Education was a very important part of Timothy’s life and he pushed himself to excel and return to Boston College even while he was fighting an illness that left him physically exhausted. During his last semester at school he studied for and took his finals while suffering from a tumor that caused him facial paralysis. Despite these obstacles he still managed to complete the semester with a 3.8 GPA. Please discuss a time in your life when you have overcome an obstacle and still pushed forward to exceed in your education and quest for learning. This essay should be a maximum of one page.
