Graduate Technical Inspector Opportunity
Durham Aged Mineworkers Homes Association is the largest Almshouse charity in the country, working across 130 sites within 80 villages across the North East. We are a long established voluntary sector organisation providing over 1700 homes for older people.
A recent Audit Commission Inspection report concluded that we provide a ‘good’ two star service with, ‘excellent prospects for improvement’, also making us one of the highest achieving housing associations.
Our Mission: “To be a caring organisation, putting the residents first and assistingin the regeneration of our coalfield communities.”
Our core area of operation is the former County Durham coalfield. This comprises the former districts of Chester-le-Street, Durham, Derwentside, Easington, Gateshead, Sedgefield, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Wear Valley.
Following a recent restructure, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Technical Inspector. Initially this appointment will be on a 2 year fixed term contract. For the right person, we hope to make this a permanent position after the 2 year training period.
