BIG SIR DAVE MOORE 893-2157

November, how did we get here so fast. Well, November is the month to be thankful and I’m thankful and appreciative that all of you trusted me to lead this branch this year. Believe me it has been quite an experience, one in which I hope I’ve learned enough to make next year even more fun. I’m also thankful that we had two members step forward at our last luncheon and volunteer to fill the vacancies on the BEC, Bob Martinez as Assistant Treasurer and George Hubbard as Assistant Secretary. The golf group is thankful that they can count on Ralph Johnson to head up our branch golf club and Tim Reasonover to assume the position of area golf coordinator. They still need back-ups for both of these positions and I feel confident that our membership will be able to fill these positions. We are all thankful that Jason Shaffer is back from Lake Almandor to prepare our luncheons. If you missed last month’s lunch, you missed a great Oktoberfest meal. We all, also, have to thank Bill McNeeley for turning our branch Out-To- Lunches into some great adventures this year. We all enjoyed the many tours and great meals set up by Bill. Also, our thanks go out to Stuart Erdrich, our wagon master, for another year of great RV adventure trips to some wonderful campsites. I would like to thank all of you who volunteered this year to make our branch a better organization, and ask the rest of you to get involved on our committees. The more people involved, the better the ideas and the more fun we will all have.

So with November comes our last luncheon of the year but not our last event. December will bring us our Annual Christmas Dinner Dance. This promises to be a fantastic evening on December 9th. The festivities will be from 5pm to 9pm at the Moose Lodge in Paradise and feature a delicious complete dinner, your choice of either Turkey of Prime Rib, prepared by Jason Shaffer, dancing to the music of the Rev-Atomics, complimentary photos by Priscilla Rawlings, and gift drawings. Tickets are on sale now for only $24.00 each, make sure to purchase them at the Nov. luncheon or check our web site for mail-in instructions. Ticket sales end Nov. 30th.

Let’s have our best turnout of the year for our November lunch, see you all their on November 15th

GOLF: Sir Ralph Johnson Chairman 872-8598

Visit the Golfers Website at http://www.clrockwell.org/sirgolf.htm Website for Golf information.

If you want to be contacted by e-mail concerning golf club news, cancelations, additional tournaments, format changes etc.

Make sure the golf committee has your e-mail address!

We originally had a signup of 59 golfers. Unfortunately, with the over seeding and cart path only restriction, we ended up with 29 brave golfers sometimes dodging sprinklers. Otherwise the weather was great. The format was a 2-man scramble.
