Other Policies and Procedures
1. Assignments
- All assignments are due at the end of class. See me immediately if you need help.
- DO NOT wait until the assignment is due.
2. Handing in assignments
- Students should place assignments in the black box on the desk or emailed as directed.
- Late work should be placed in the class’s file folder in the wire basket box marked “Late” on the teacher’s desk. (see Late and Missing Assignments below)
3. Late and Missing Assignments
- Late work is your responsibility, not mine. It is your job to check with me if you suspect you have missing work.
- Late work will be accepted ONLY if the student is absent the day it is due, and it will only be accepted up to 5 days past the due date. If it is not turned in then, the student will receive a zero for the assignment.
4. Absences
- IBA is a class in which attendance and participation are keys to success, so it is very important that you are in class every day. You can never learn as much from borrowing people’s notes as you can from actively participating.
- When you are absent, it is your responsibility to check for missed assignments. If you know in advance that you are going to be gone for an extended period of time (i.e. field trip), I will do my best to get assignments to you early. In these cases, work is due when you return.
