Instructions (Please read carefully!)
You will receive a 27-exposure disposable camera. We would like you to use the camera to take pictures of specific places around campus, such as your favorite classroom, or place to study on your own or in a group. Attached you will find the “survey” of the types of spaces you should photograph. Take a moment to read it. In some cases, we ask for multiple of the same type of space – we are looking for three classrooms you like. Also, note that we differentiate between classroom and lecture hall, etc.
The pictures you take do not have to be done in the order on the survey, but you do need to be careful to tell us what frame number corresponds to that picture. For instance, your ‘favorite place to study’ may be the 8th image you take. So, you would put down an ‘8’ next to ‘favorite place to study. For each image, be sure to fill out the related questions. Your responses will be very important in helping us understand why you took the picture. All cameras have to be returned by April 25, 2007.
Once you’re done, please drop the camera and the survey separately into the two boxes placed outside Academic Computing (2nd floor, Meyer Library). To receive your $5 gift voucher and a place in the Apple Ipod Shuffle lucky draw, be sure to take all pictures and fill in all related questions on the survey. Only participants that have completed the tasks and the survey will receive the gift card and be eligible for the iPod. Once we checked you have done these, you will be informed to pick up your gift voucher from the same place. If you have any queries, you can contact
Thanks again for your help and we hope you will have fun taking the pictures!
