Testing Policy

By Ted Cann

1. Keep your eyes on your own paper.

2. Bring and use YOUR OWN testing materials (pencils/calculator). You may not share materials once testing has begun.

3. You may not have any electronic device on your desk except your calculator. If your phone buzzes (because it BETTER NOT RING), ignore it and continue working on your test. Reasonable exceptions: wife going into labor, Golman Sachs calling with your dream job offer, etc.

4. Do not communicate with any other student in the class during the assessment for any reason. If you have a question: raise your hand, patiently wait to be recognized by me, and then you may ask your question.

·  But I was just asking where to find the “abs(“ function!

·  But I just needed a pencil!

·  But I needed to know the time!

5. Remain in your seat until you have completed the assessment. If you need to use the restroom, raise your hand, patiently wait to be recognized by me, and then you may ask to use the restroom.

6. If you hear me clear my throat and you look up and see me looking at you, make no mistake, I THINK YOU ARE TRYING TO CHEAT SO STOP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!

7. When I call time, the test is over. You may try to pressure me into giving you more time but that will only put me in a foul mood whilst grading your paper.
