1. First Paragraph

a. Summary of the disease from the tree map. Paragraph needs to include a description of the disease, causes, symptoms, long term effects, and treatment.

b. This may be anywhere from 6 to 10 sentences or longer

2. Second Paragraph

a. Reflective paragraph which needs to be about 5-6 sentences long

b. Address the following questions in your paragraph

i. How would having this disease affect your life?

ii. How might this affect or influence your decision to have children?

iii. Would you want to know ahead of time if your baby was at risk for having the disease?

4. Presentation:

a. Be prepared to share the poster/tree map with the class.

b. Presentations will be 3-4 minutes long.

c. Be prepared to answer any questions students may have about the disease.

d. Speak loudly and clearly for the audience in the back of the classroom.

e. Maintain eye contact. Do NOT hide behind the poster during the presentation.
