We will be celebrating Mole Day onJanuary 26, 2016. In order to celebrate, you will be completing a creative and original project and sharing it with the class. We will submit and present the mole projects in class on January 26, 2016
You may work as an individual or in pairs (2 people only). I have listed a few examples of mole day ideas. If you have another idea for your project, feel free to venture out on your own. All ideas for your mole project must be submitted for approval by January 19, 2016. The project is worth a total of 100 points and will count in the Reactions Unit or you may replace a test in another unit with your project grade (you cannot count it twice).

Group Project Ideas
Molympics -Design several 5-6 games that students can play in class. You must demonstrate how to play the game
Mole-opoly- Create your own special game board with game pieces.
Write a Mole Day song- be original and write your own song or make a parody of a famous song – you must perform it as a group
Make a mole piñata or a stuffed mole
Individual Project Ideas
Write a Mole Day poem, story, or cartoon
Decorate with Mole-biles – Design a mole-bile to hang from the classroom ceiling.
Make Mole Day "campaign signs" – as you would for President. Etc…
Mole Day greeting cards– design greeting cards for birthdays, Mother’s day, Father’s day, X-mas, etc… You must make a minimum of 5 cards.
Make a Mole Movie Poster – Ex: “Molenator” or “Moley and Me”
Design Mole Day Shirts or Mole Day clothes for a Mole Day fashion Show
Bring Mole Day Foods (Guacamole, Molasses Cookies, Mole Cakes, etc…)to share with the class (you will need to make enough for everyone)
Grading Rubric: The purpose of this project is to design a product that celebrates an important concept in Chemistry and to decorate the room. Everyone should at least earn a C unless you just don’t do it. Grades will be assigned as follows:
A90-100 neat, organized, original, creative, and colorful
B80-89 neat but plain (black and white and simple)
C70-79last minute effort shows (messy, not original)
F 69 and below didn’t do it or copied from the internet (I WILLLOOK)
Final Product Due Date: January 26, 2016
Late Projects will not be accepted!!!!!!!!
