Mail Subject: Faculty and student login Date: 22th june 2016

1)I have gone through thefacultyandstudentloginsections of the website and have noticed the following points:

The pages are not browser compatible as can be seen from the attached snapshots taken from Mozilla Firefox browser.

I have checked it on Mozilla firefox 24 and the pages are displaying perfectly.

2) FacultyLogin:

The changes made in the profile of Mrs. SunitaJetly are not reflected in the website since she is not listed asfacultyin any of the departments. So this feature can not be verified.

This features are now verified.

3) In Upload Assisgnment Section, it is asking for 'select course' which has already been done in the previous step of courses.

If someone have more than 1 department or course, then he/she can choose it here. That’s why “select course has placed here.”

Functionality:

In”upload Assignment ” section , the faculty have to select the “department” first. After selecting “department”, the respective courses are coming under “courses” drop down box.

After choosing “courses”, the respective session are displaying under “Session” drop down box.

Then you have to upload your assignment in pdf and click submit button.

Here (faculty logged in as )I’m selecting the respective field and uploading a demo pdf(e.g assignment.pdf) and click the submit assignment button.

Then a group mail will be send to all students having course “B.SC(honours) Biomedical science” and session “2012-2013”

In Current database there are 2 students having the above course and session. So they are receiving mail from , for downloading the assignment. The assignment can be downloaded as “SUNITA_Session 2012-2013_B. Sc. (Honours) Biomedical Sciences_1TGMjyGWJ2.pdf”

4) In Upload Internal Assessment there is no provision for entering the details.

In Upload Internal Assessment section, first you have to choose session and course, then all the students having the above session and course will be displayed automatically here. Then you have put your assignment mark, attendance mark, and test mark. Then click the submit button.

5) In Upload Attendance Section there is provision for uploading only .csv file. I think that we will need provisions for uploading .doc / .docx / .pdf files or an excel sheet for entering details.

PHP have the provision for reading/fetching the data from .csv file in a certain format and you have to follow the format.Inthis section you have to upload .csv file in the below format as attached and click “Submit” button. In PDF file or document file data can’t be fetched. You need to follow certain format to upload the data and this is why this is called csvformat.So you need to follow that only.Data has to read and upload in database so it can show in front end pdf cant be read this way or even document..csv file only So each data has to upload there first in .csv and than fetch here.

1. Can astudentview the internal assessment and attendance record of allstudentsof college or of his/her course or only his/her data?

2. Similarly will assignments of all teachers be visible to astudent?

Respective student can view their internal assessment and attendance and assignment records(self) after logged into their dashboard.

Subject: Website DEevelopment:

  1. Group-wise e mail notification of any activity, e.g., uploading of assignment / internal assessment / attendance by faculty to relevant group members.

  1. Groups of persons may be created as and when needed by admin and may be available for all kinds of notifications. These groups may be of specific students, teachers or non-teaching staff or a mix of these.
