Sample Four-Year Program of Study

UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN – EAU CLAIRE

College of Business

Information SystemsMajor

Based on 2010-2011 Catalogue

The Information Systems (IS) major educates students in using computer technology to help people in organizations of all kinds. This comprehensive major does not require a minor, but students may choose one if desired. The IS major prepares students to enter a career as a Web developer, business systems designer, application software developer, computer network manager, information systems manager, etc. The major provides basic knowledge required for earning the Information Systems Analyst (ISA) Certification offered by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals (ICCP).

The following is a sample schedule showing a typical four-year program that meets all University, College, and Major requirements for a bachelor of business administration (BBA) degree in IS. Note that this is an example and is not the only course sequence that satisfies these requirements.
