(1) Seniors - Over 40 as of 1 June 2011; Grand Dragons: over 50 as of 1 June 2011.

(2) Juniors: under 18 but 12 or over as of January 1, 2011. Under 16: under 16 but over 12 as of January 1, 2011.

(3) Under 23s: under 23 but 18 or over as of January 1, 2011

In exceptional cases and for developing race classes (such as youth, grand dragons, crews new to dragon boat racing) the EDBF technical commission may consider allowing small, 10 paddler (IDBF 912) dragon boats. If applying for special permission to enter a small dragon boat crew, please check this box and send a short note telling why you are applying for an exception from the standard 1222 (large boat) category. The EDBF technical commission will consider applications and inform crews once a decision is made.
