8th grade

Brief Description:

Can your body last up to 80 or more years? This “Fit for Life” class will promote a healthy lifestyle. Through a coordinated effort of classroom lessons and physical activities, students will be better prepared with the skills, attitude and knowledge to become active self-directed healthy individuals.

Nutrition for Health

  • Instruct students on how to put together a healthful eating plan based on The Food Guide Pyramid.
  • Emphasize the importance of establishing a healthful pattern of meals and snacks.
