New version of TaB: 2.1
On September 1st 2003, an improved version of TaB is launched. This new version of TaB is improved in several ways:
-Amos Connect cost allocation per email, mailbox ID or post office: calculate all costs for your Amos Connect email
-Iridium and Regional BGAN can be included upon request
-Contract prices are only recalculated when required, instead of on every screenchange. This makes the application faster
-Data can be cleaned up until 2 months ago
Your TaB version
For the month of September, all customers will get the Extended version of TaB 2.1. After October 1st, the TaB basic customer will receive the Basic version again. Basic customers who would prefer to keep the Extended version can contact their account manager for an upgrade to TaB Extended
Update software
You can download the upgrade software from The upgrade software consists of four parts:
a)SetupTaB21.exe: the TaB software
b)ConvertToTAB2100.exe: the software to migrate your TaB 2.0 data to your new TaB 2.1
c)licinfo,ini: your individual license code, which has been sent to you by email
d)VisibleMainTabsTaB_V21.rar: changes the layout of TaB to the latest version
Save all files in a temporary folder. Please ensure the licinfo.ini file is present, without this file TaB can’t be installed.
Double-click the Setup icon. Follow the instructions on the screen. Typically, TaB will be installed in the directory c:\program files\xantic\. If this directory does not exist, it will automatically be created. The TaB program will be installed in the folder Traffic and Billing. V21, next to the previous version of TaB.
For easy access to TaB, during the installation a new TaB icon will be created on the desktop of your computer.
Converting data
Start the ConvertToTAB2100.exe tool. This tool will ask you for the location of your old TaB software and the new software. Click [OK] and all data such as traffic, contracts and end-users will be imported in your new TaB 2.1 software. This will take only a minute.
Loading traffic data
You can load traffic data in the same way as in TaB 2.0. However, the new look of TaB 2.1 with one integrated Traffic/Billing screen and the new Postoffice screen will disappear when you load older traffic files. To get the the latest layout back, you can load the VisibleMainTabsTaB2100.rar. After October 1st this will no longer be necessary.
Phase out of TaB 2.0
All TaB customers should migrate to this new version of TaB before October 1st, 2003. After October 2003, the older versions of TaB will no longer be supported
