Cheeverstown House is a voluntary organisation, in a four-year accredited partnership with the Council on Quality and Leadership, based in South County Dublin. We provide a range of support services to people with an intellectual disability in various locations and our core values are person-centredness, community inclusion and active participation with a strong emphasis on quality. We are now inviting applicants for the following posts:

Assistant Manager (CNM2), Residential Services

Permanent, Full-Time – 39 hours per week

This post will hold the responsibility of “Person in Charge” for the relevant designated centre(s), as per HIQA regulations. Under these regulations, Cheeverstown is required to deliver a fit service: fitness being “the ability to supply a service that provides suitable and sufficient care and protects and promotes residents wellbeing and welfare”.

The successful candidate will:

·  Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland; registration on the RNID division is desirable but not essential.

·  Have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience as a Nurse working in an intellectual disability setting.

·  Possess an appropriate management qualification.

·  Have management experience.

·  Have a proven record of professional development.

·  Demonstrate an ability to provide a high level of leadership and to work as part of the management team in Residential Services.

·  Demonstrate an ability to manage and motivate staff in providing a comprehensive service in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, based on best practice.

·  Possess excellent interpersonal and team building skills.

·  Have excellent organisational, administrative and computer skills.

·  Possess a full clean driver’s licence.

·  Exhibit an excellent knowledge of developments in HSE Social Care Policy and national regulations, particularly HIQA’s National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.

·  Exhibit an excellent knowledge of the Council of Quality and Leadership quality systems.

Salary will be paid at Clinical Nurse Manager 2 scale as per current Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.

Assistant Manager (CNM1), Residential Services - Panel

A panel is being formed for one year for possible Clinical Nurse Manager 1 vacancies in both Residential and Day Services. Candidates who obtain a place on the panel and who fulfil the conditions of the selection process may, within the life of the panel, be considered for subsequent vacancies. The candidate who obtains first place on the panel will be the first candidate considered for a position, subject to satisfactory reference, Garda and medical checks, and so on in order of merit.

·  Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland; registration on the RNID division is desirable but not essential

·  Have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in intellectual disability services.

·  Possess an appropriate management qualification (or be willing to pursue one) and ideally have some management experience.

·  Have good leadership and team building skills, with the ability to lead staff through good communication and supervision.

·  Have good interpersonal skills.

·  Possess up to date knowledge of developments in HSE Social Care Policy and national regulations, particularly HIQA’s National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.

·  Have good knowledge of Council of Quality and Leadership quality systems.

·  Work as part of the local management team and provide supervision and leadership as part of the residential team.

·  Possess good organisational, administrative and computer skills.

·  Possess a full clean driver’s licence (essential).

Salary will be paid at Clinical Nurse Manager 1 scale as per current Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
