A State Aid to Local Law Enforcement/Emergency Illegal Drug Enforcement Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, 12:00 p.m. in the City of Dover Police Department conference room, 400 S. Queen Street, Dover, Delaware. The agenda will include the following:

I.  Approval of January 10, 2011 Minutes of the Meeting

II. Approval of FY 12 State Aid to Local Law Enforcement Applications

S-33-12 Blades Police Department $3,561.04

Applicant requests approval to use funds to purchase 1 AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED camera lens and UV filter ($2,089.95) and overtime for drug surveillance and intelligence gathering ($1,471.07).

S-34-12 Bridgeville Police Department $202.31

Applicant requests approval to use funds for overtime for drug investigations.

S-35-12 Cheswold Police Department $3,374.01

Applicant requests approval to use funds to purchase 3 keyless door entry systems ($600); 2 digital cameras w/memory cards ($350); 3 Scorpion Micro DV/Recorder patrol kits ($480); 1 prisoner partition for patrol vehicle ($600); and high visibility patrol and criminal investigation overtime ($1,094.01).

Applicant requests approval to use funds to purchase 5 tasers including cartridges for training and duty.

S-37-12 Newport Police Department $4,309.04

Applicant requests approval to use funds for overtime for drug enforcement and investigations.

Applicant requests approval to use funds for training ($2,248.03) and one time vehicle enhancement to include

Applicant requests approval to use funds for training ($1,000); to purchase 1 Dell computer with monitor and printer ($2000); match federal funds for the Bullet-proof Vest Partnership Grant ($416); and overtime for high crime area saturation patrols and drug enforcement ($4,633.16).

Applicant requests approval to use funds to purchase 25 tasers to include batteries, cartridges and warranty.

Applicant requests approval to use funds for overtime for drug patrols.

Applicant requests approval to use funds to purchase 2 Sig Sauer 516 patrol rifles ($2,200), 4 magazines ($50), 2 rifle slings ($89.90), 2 rifle cases ($129.98), 2 red dot lights ($266), 4 sling swivels ($51), shipping ($20), and overtime for drug investigations ($378.03).

Applicant requests approval to use funds for Simunition training equipment to include 5 protective masks, 5 throat collars, 2 Sig Sauer training guns, 1 12 gauge conversion kit, 1 M$ Carbine conversion kit, and Simunition ammo.

Applicant requests approval to use funds for overtime for drug enforcement and investigations.
