I Preface
Welcome to use MF30 series multi-functional and high-performance vector type variable-frequency inverter.
MF30 series inverter is modified from MF20 series, main functions of which are kept, and some new functions are added in accordance with requirements of customers. Moreover, performance is improved, and manual operations are simplified. Therefore, this series of inverter is featured as high in output torque, little in vibration, low in noise level and strong in function.
Please carefully read this Operational Instruction before use so as to install and apply it correctly, fully develop its functions and ensure safety. Please keep this Operational Instruction permanently for maintenance and repair in the future.
For the inverter are electronic products, in order to ensure your safety, please always have the professional electric engineering personnel handle, install, debug and adjust the parameters in order to keep your safety. This manual reminds you of safety precautions for delivery, installation, transfer and check of inverter. Your coordination is required to make the application of inverter safer. For any questions, please contact with your local agent, our professional personnel is willing to service for you.

The malfunction can cause injury or death of personnel and damage of inverter or mechanical system!
Dangerous●Always switch off the power supply when wiring.
●After switching off the AC power, before the LED indicating lamp turns off, it indicates that the high voltage still presents in the inverter which is very dangerous. Don’t touch the interior circuit and parts.
●During operation, don’t check the parts and signal on the circuit board.
●Don’t dismount and change the interior wiring or circuit, parts of inverter without authorization.
●Always ensure the earth terminal of inverter correctly grounded.
●Strictly prohibit to refit and change the control board and parts without permission, otherwise there will occur such dangers of electric shock or explosion etc.
Cautions
●Don't carry out dielectric strength test on parts inside the inverter, these semiconductor parts are liable to be damaged by high voltage.
●Under no circumstances connect the inverter output terminal U.V.W with AC power.
●The main circuits CMOS and IC of inverter are liable to be affected and damaged by static, so please don’t touch the main circuit.
●Only qualified professional personnel can install, debug and maintain the inverter.
●Handle the scrap of inverter as industrial wastes and prohibit burn.
(1) Notes for purchase
Though this inverter has been strictly packed before outgoing, taking account of various factors in transit, please take more care of the following items before assembly. For any abnormal, please notify the distributor or the relating personnel of our company.
●Check whether there is any lost or deformation during handle.
●Whether there is a set of MF30 series inverter and one copy of Operational Instruction after unpacking.
●Check whether the ordered specification is in accord with the nameplate (service voltage and Capacity).
●Check whether the internal component, wire and circuit board are abnormal.
●Check whether the terminals are firmly fixed and whether there is any foreign material inside it.
●Check whether the manipulator key is perfect.
●Check whether there is additional sub-assembly.
●Check whether there are certificate and warranty card.

II Safety Precautions
(1) Before power transmission
Caution●The applied power voltage must be same as the specification of inverter input voltage.
Caution
● The symbol of indicates earth terminal, please make sure to earth the motor and inverter correctly to ensure safety. The terminal of can’t be connected to zero line.
●Don’t mount contactor between motor and inverter which is used to start or stop the motor. Otherwise, it can cause damage of inverter so to affect the usage lifetime of inverter.
Dangerous
●The wiring of major loop terminal must be correct. The R.S.T is power input terminal which can’t be used with U.V.W under any circumstances; otherwise, it will cause damage of inverter after power transmission.
Caution
●Don’t lift the front cover directly when handling the inverter, handle with the seat to prevent the front cover from separation and avoid falling of the inverter to cause personal injury or damage of inverter.
●Place the inverter on such non-combustible materials of metal to prevent fire.
●Select safe area to mount the inverter to keep out of high temperature and direct sun and avoid moisture and water drop.
●Keep the children or irrelevant personnel away from the inverter.
●This inverter can only be applied at occasion approved by our company. The service environment without approval can cause accidents such as fire, detonation and electric shock etc.
●If many inverters are mounted in one same control cabinet, please add radiator fan additionally to make the temperature in cabinet lower than 40℃ so as to prevent overheating or fire.
●Make sure to switching off the power, then dismount or fit the operational keyboard and fix the front cover to avoid poor contact and cause manipulator fault or no display.
●Don’t mount the inverter in environment containing explosive gas, otherwise it will cause explosion.
●At district with elevation above 2000m, the radiating effect of inverter will become worse, please decrease grade for application.
●Don’t install such elements of contactor and relevant capacitor or piezoresistor etc at output side; otherwise it will cause failure of inverter or damage of element.
●Don’t install such switching elements of air switch and contactor etc. If it must be mounted for the reason of process and other respects, it must ensure that the inverter have no output when the switch acts, in addition, the output side is prohibited to be mounted with capacitor with power factor improvement or piezoresistor for lightning protection, otherwise, it will cause failure of inverter, protective trip or damage of elements.
●The Stop button can be effective upon setting, which is different from the Emergency Stop switch, please use it carefully.
●Connect the contactor before input of inverter. The starting or stop of control inverter can affect the lifetime of inverter; it is generally required to be controlled with SF or SR terminal. Specially pay attention to use it at locations with frequent starting and stop.
●Please apply independent power supply for inverter. Absolutely avoid using one power together with welding machine; otherwise it will cause protection or damage of inverter.
(2) During power transmission
Dangerous●During power transmission, never plug or unplug the contactor attached to inverter to avoid surge entrance for inserting or extracting the control main board and cause damage of inverter.
●Before power transmission, please cover the cover plate properly to avoid electric shock and cause injury of human body.
(3) In operation
Dangerous●Prohibit to switch in or separate the motor set during operation, otherwise, it will cause over current of inverter even burn out major loop of inverter.
●During power transmission of inverter, don’t take off the front cover to avoid injury for electrification.
●When start up Failure Restart function, the motor will automatically restart after stopping running, don’t close to the machine to avoid accident.
! Caution
●Don’t touch the heating elements such as radiator and brake resistor etc to avoid scalding.
●The inverter can run easily from low speed to high speed, please confirm the allowable speed range of motor and mechanism.
●Don’t check the signal of circuit board during operation of inverter to avoid danger.
●The inverter has been adjusted at factory, don’t make adjustment arbitrarily but properly adjust as per required function.
●Attention should be paid to vibration and noise of the motor, and speed range that the motor bear and mechanical devices can bear when the inverter runs at high speed.
●After power supply for the inverter is cut off, reconnection should not be performed immediately but after all indicators on the keyboard are off. Continuous switch-on and off is strictly prohibited on the inverter.

IV Storage and installation
(1) Storage
This product must be placed in packing box before installation. For temporary nonuse, please pay attention to the following items when storage:
●Must be placed in dry location without dust;
●The storage environment temperature is within range of -20℃~ +65℃.
●The relative humidity of storage environment is within range of 0% ~ 95% and without condensation;
●The storage environment has no corrosive gas or liquid;
●It is better to place it on the rack and properly package to storage.
● It is better not to storage the inverter for long time, otherwise it will cause deterioration of electrolytic capacitor (ELCC). For required long-period storage, make sure to energize for one time within one year and the energizing time at least above 5 hours, but also the voltage must be slowly increased to rated voltage value with regulator when inputting.
(2) Installation location and environment
Caution: The environment conditions of installation site will affect the usage lifetime of inverter.
●Surrounding temperature: -5℃~40℃, good ventilation conditions
●Location without dripping and low humidity;
●Location without direct sunlight, high temperature and heavy dust;
●Location without corrosive gas and liquid;
●Location with less dust, oil gas and metal powder;
●Location without vibration and easy to be maintained and checked;
●Location without electromagnetic noise interference.
(3) Installation space and direction
●For convenient cooling and maintenance, sufficient room needs to be left surrounding inverter.
●In order to obtain good cooling effect, it is necessary to install the inverter vertically and ensure air circulating.
●For unsound installation, place a flat board under the base of inverter before installation. The installation on loosen plane will cause damage of parts of major loop thus damage the inverter.
●The wall for installation shall adopt non-combustible material such as iron plate etc.
●For multiple inverters installed in one cabinet from top to bottom, please add diversion baffle when paying attention to the distance.
V Wiring
(1) Illustration of major loop wiring
Power supply: Take care whether the voltages grade are same, so as to prevent inverter from being damaged.
No-fuse switch: Please refer to corresponding tables.
Leakage switch: Please apply leakage switches against higher harmonics.
Electromagnetic contactor:
Caution: Don’t take electromagnetic contactor as power switch of inverter.
AC reactor: When the input capacity is greater than 500KVA, it is advised to add an AC reactor additionally to improve power factor.
Inverter:
●Always properly connect the major loop wire and control signal wire of inverter.
●Always properly set the parameters of inverter.
