The Event
The Bromyard Speed Festival is a street motoring event to be held in the centre of Bromyard, Herefordshire.The festival is designed to be a celebration of the rich motoring history in and around the Bromyard area and the inaugural event will focus on Bromyard as the birthplace of the Morgan motor car. The event will appeal bothto participants who wish to drive their vehiclesas well as the general public who will be able to spectate from around the circuit behind safety barriers. The event will stimulate interest in Bromyard’s great motoring heritage as well as providing a boost to the local economy.It is anticipated that up to 2500 people may wish to attend.
Programme
The event will start around 10am on the Sunday morning and finish around 4.30pm with a 1hr break for lunch. The format of the event is to invite around 100 vintage, classic, racing,rally and public interest vehicles to attend a street parade through the town centre. Participating vehicles will be held in paddock areas close to the street circuit and divided into around 8-10 classes. Each class of 10-12 vehicles will drive around the circuit for a period of 15 - 20 minutes with a leading pace car used to determine safe circuit speeds.
Displays and car parking
A number of trade stands and motoring displays will be located around the circuit in the main square and parking areas behind the circuit. There will be further displays and demonstrations in lower New Road and an auto jumble within the Falcon Hotel Mews. The festival will make use of public car parks in the town centre for the participants paddock area and residents parking with additional public car parking provided from space available in the nearby Porthouse and Station Road industrial estates and Bromyard Rugby Club.Local cafes, restaurants, hotels and public houses are also hoping to organise a food fair to run concurrently with the event.

The Organisers
The event is to be organised by Bromyard Speed Festival CIC, a not for profit Community Interest Company. Any profits generated will be retained to fund future events and surpluses distributed to local charities. The organising committee have a wealth of experience in motor sport events and will draw support and volunteers from local clubs and businesses. The event will be free to the public and funds will be generated from a mix of participant and paddock entry fees, advertising, sponsorships, trade stands and programme sales.
