2015 NJ YMCA State Championships Time Trial Information

The N.J. YMCA State Championship Committee has agreed to offer Time Trials between the Prelim and Finals sessions at the 2015 13/Over N.J. YMCA State Championships. The following is the meet information.

Start Time Approximately 15 minutes after the end of preliminary sessions for 13-14 each day (after session 4 on Friday, after session 8 on Saturday and after session 12 on Sunday). Time Trials will be swum in pool 2, the warm up pool (Window pool). Warm-ups will take place during the competition of the preliminary events in the warm-up/warm-down pool, and upon the start of Time Trials in the competition pool.

Eligibility Time trials are offered for athletes participating in the State Championship Meet that hold at least one State Time.

Cost $6.00 per entry – limited to only 1 time trial per day.

Time Standards + .50 per 50 yards of each event, (i.e. 50 free State Time standard is 25.59, the time trial standard is 26.09, if the 500 free is 5:22.99 the TT standard is 5:25.49). See Time Trials Standards below.

Deadline Entries will begin to be accepted 30 minutes after the start of each age group preliminary sessions and will close 45 minutes before the end of those sessions. *Late entry permitted only if swimmer is less than .05 off the National Standard Time in the last event of the Preliminary session, for that day. Preregistration strongly recommended.

Registration Time Trial registration will take place at the pool 2 table (the warm up pool). All swimmers must have exact change. In addition, a TM file for Time Trials will be sent out along with the meet information so coaches can pre-register their swimmers. SEPARATE CHECKS FOR TIME TRIALS ENTRY FEES PLEASE.

Events Events will be the events of the day. 500’s and 400 IM’s will be swum last and may be limited to specific number of heats if the time line is full. We will NOT delay the start of finals, so events may be eliminated. Events will be swum as open events for all age groups. Swimming Time Trials will count toward individual event limit.

Timers Parents of swimmers who are participating will be required to time or the session will not take place and entry fees will be returned. Your team’s co-operation will be greatly appreciated.
